{"id":160147,"date":"2022-07-17T12:07:37","date_gmt":"2022-07-17T19:07:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.canyon-news.com\/?p=160147"},"modified":"2022-07-20T08:19:27","modified_gmt":"2022-07-20T15:19:27","slug":"executive-producer-for-tv-series-arrested-for-sexual-assault","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.canyon-news.com\/executive-producer-for-tv-series-arrested-for-sexual-assault\/","title":{"rendered":"Executive Producer For TV Series Arrested For Sexual Assault"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>LOS FELIZ\u2014<span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The executive producer for the NBC comedy &#8220;Scrubs,&#8221; Eric Weinberg, 61, was arrested in Los Feliz on Thursday, July 17, and is facing several allegations of sexual assault that transpired between 2012 and 2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_160148\" aria-describedby=\"caption-attachment-160148\" style=\"width: 193px\" class=\"wp-caption alignleft\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.canyon-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/ew.png\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"wp-image-160148 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.canyon-news.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/07\/ew.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"193\" height=\"247\" \/><\/a><figcaption id=\"caption-attachment-160148\" class=\"wp-caption-text\">Eric Weinberg<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The arrest took place around 12 p.m. on the 1900 block of East Edgem Street.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to a news release issued by the Los Angeles Police Department, Weinberg targeted women in coffee shops and grocery stores who appeared to be in their 20s and 30s. He posed as a photographer and would arrange photoshoots with the women he targeted. The photoshoots which took place in his home is where the assaults were said to have transpired.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Detectives suspect there are more victims and are asking them to come forward. Officials believe that Weinberg may have committed these crimes as far back as the 1990\u2019s.
