HOLLYWOOD—There are not many TV series that I watch that leave me speechless. When I say that I’m not necessarily referring to shock value, I’m referring to each episode getting better and better as the season progresses. There have only been like 2 series as long as I have lived that have accomplished that feat for ME: “Breaking Bad” and the first season of “Empire.” I now want to add another series to that list, HBO’s “IT: Welcome to Derry.”

I have never been a fan of any type of horror that places children in serious danger. It is just something I don’t want to see in my TV or movies. However, we have seen a trend as of late of Hollywood placing children in danger more and more, see “Stranger Things” people. With that said, the children in this series are fantastic, just fantastic. The acting from these young thespians is amazing and the character development is so strong it is unforgettable when you watch.

The actress who portrays Lilly is the heart of the series in my eyes. The plight this little girl has endured is just devastating. To make matters worse she is grappling with her father’s death, a evil entity threatening her and her friends and questions about her mental state is constantly spiraling.

Then you have Ronnie who is the fighter of the group who says what’s on her mind with no apologies along the way. I love the ferocity of the character who is determined to ensure her father is not jailed for a crime he didn’t commit. This is Derry, Maine by the way people, so be aware of that racial tension that plays to some degree in the narrative.

There is Rich, the band geek who has an affection for Marge, who is determined to stay by the side of the popular girls even if it’s to the detriment of her closet friend Lilly. Marge suffered an unholy fate when it came to one of her eyes thanks to that evil entity, known as Pennywise, who didn’t really make his presence known until episode 5 in the allusion of Matty.

Yes, indeed it was a reveal, and if this series has taught me anything and I mean anything, it’s the fact that NO CHARACTER IS SAFE and that absolutely raises the stakes for the viewers. Why? When you’re watching you don’t know if you’re going to be gob smacked liked the ending from the first episode or if you’re just keeping your fingers crossed that one of the characters you care about actually survives.

You also have the Halloran and the Leroy Hanlon of it all. Halloran has the ability to see things he shouldn’t and has become an experiment that he’s experimenting with. While his son Will, is doing all in his power to get his father to open his eyes to the terror that is haunting the town and leading to the disappearance of all these kids and people in Derry. I absolutely love Taylour Paige as Will’s mother Charlotte, who knows something is wrong and refuses to turn a blind eye to things.

Episode 5 really threw me for the loop, because SPOILER ALERT stop reading if you don’t want to know. I thought Lilly was a goner after her pals left her behind when Pennywise made his big reveal. However, just when we thought it was over for Lilly, she discovered that relic, and that relic was vital because it stopped the evil clown in his tracks.

Lilly is no idiot and knows that Pennywise can be halted with that relic; he’s afraid of it and cannot cross that boundary. This last episode, jeez, didn’t see that coming a million miles away involving Ingrid Persh and her connection to the evil clown and this desire to reunite with her father. Whew, talk about a twist I didn’t see coming a million miles away.

We only have 2 episodes left before the season culminates, and the prediction for episode 7 if you’re seen the movie, you know what happens and the season finale which has been touted in the teaser trailers indicate more bad things to come. Bring Kleenex and prepare for the worst because this series is a rollercoaster, where you don’t know what to expect. New episodes of “IT: Welcome to Derry” airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO.

HOLLYWOOD—One thing is for certain, after last week’s episode of “Survivor 49” Rizo and Savannah have got to be humbled for me to root for them. Rizo is too arrogant, and Savannah does not realize she is not the hero of her own story. This week’s episode, ‘Cherry on Top’ saw Sage fuming about the move that was made against her.

Kristina was in scrambles with the move, and it was apparent that idol is now back in play, or probably not. Rizo admitted that his fake idol wasn’t as big of a move as he thinks. Yeah, Rizo I don’t think the jury loves the move as much as you think. Sophie tried to do some cleaning up with Steven and Kristina, but I don’t know if she may have placed a bigger target on her back.

Sophie tried speaking with Sage, and it didn’t go well at all. Sage was seeing red and she was livid. Sophi was being a third wheel, when she didn’t need to be invited into that conversation. What Rizo did is going to cost him Sage’s vote if he makes it to the final 3, mark my words right now.

The annoying trio continued to annoy me, as it became clear that Savannah, Rizo and Sophi. Yes, Sophi, you are at the bottom of those 3. You ARE GOING TO HAVE TO MAKE A MOVE AT SOME POINT to have a resume that makes the jury respect you. Sophi made the right move in going toe-to-toe with Sage to gather her as a number. Sage was not buying Sophi would turn on Rizo and Savannah. Sage has her daggers on Sophie and is determined to take her out.

A boat arrives, and Steven wanted that potential advantage. Why do we have to continue having twists this late in the game. We really don’t need this Jeff Probst and “Survivor” producers. Really no one wanted to take the journey, expect for Steven. Kudos to him. I would have done the same thing. Sophie was pointing her target at Steven, oh, what a coincidence. Sophie and Sophi decided they should start to consider alternative options like Savannah and Rizo.

If you all didn’t want Steven to leave with an advantage you all shouldn’t have allowed him to get on the boat, dummies. Great losing a vote again, and the advantage at the same time. This better be a great advantage to have to do all of this? I was so happy to see Steven accomplish the task and get this advantage that allows him to: block a vote from another player. He must choose before leaving for Tribal Council that he must reveal who’s vote he is blocking. Oh, I love this advantage. Keep it secret, but it would be nice if he had the opportunity to block 2 votes that would be even more powerful.

Steven was trying to figure out how to navigate this advantage. I would LIE, simply tell them you lost your vote, but he was honest that he finished the task and won an advantage. Steven pegged that Rizo started thinking of scenarios. I like that. Rizo was right on with Steven having a block a vote, however, who the hell would tell someone what advantage they have earned. Damn I forget about Sophi’s Knowledge is Power advantage. It is NOT a steal a vote, it’s a vote blocked. So, there will ONLY be 6 votes. Forgot Sophi can’t steal his advantage because it happens before Tribal Council.

Rizo was being too cocky per usual, and it looks like this is the balance beam challenge where you have to spell the word ‘IMMUNITY.’ Looks like they have made it a bit more complicated with the platform spinning as you try to spell the word. Yeah, this spinning aspect makes things SO MUCH HARDER. Some of these challenges are already difficult, why make it any harder people. Yes, so excited to see Steven win that immunity with his back against the wall. I swear if Kristina is booted, I’m going to riot, as that is 5 Black people in a row.

Steven is not only safe, but he has a chance to connect with an ally and share food. Kristina was offered a chance to join Steven in the feast. I was not expecting Steven to extend an olive branch to Rizo, but that opens the door for a bit of fun if you ask me. Rizo you are only cozying up because you cannot vote out Steven. Of course, Rizo wanted to vote out yellow Sophie. This is what is going to cause Rizo the game, he’s burning jury votes with his moves unfortunately. Steven realized his block a vote is much stronger at 6 than at 7. Kristina made it clear she doesn’t like Savannah and wants her out of the game.

I knew Sage would hold that move Sophie made last week against Jawan was not good for her game. Back at camp, Rizo alerted Sophi of the plan, as Sophi spilled that Yellow Sophie wants Savannah out of the game. Steven realized that the votes potentially could NOT be there to take Savannah out of the game. Sophi was starting to question the level of power she has in the game and could consider striking at Savannah.

Another Tribal Council, where the theatrics are in play, but does it truly matter? Of course not, and no one actually cares. Spicy, it is apparent that Savannah and Kristina do not like one another, and I want to know precisely why? The biggest problem with “Survivor 49” is none of these Tribal Councils have been exciting at all. it is a level of boredom that just doesn’t change. The fact that the jury did not seem pleased with that vote out tells me Savannah and Rizo are going to have a hard time with this jury.

We are being teased something epic next episode, that has been taunted all season long, but I am not crossing my fingers “Survivor 49” fanatics!

HOLLYWOOD—Victoria and Jason went toe-to-toe last week on “The Oval.” That mayhem continued in this week’s episode, ‘Lies and Alibis’ where Jason asked the question, we’ve all wanted to know: WHERE IS GAIL? The audience have wanted that question answered since season 1. Jason threatened death upon his mother, while Hunter refused to acknowledge that Jason is troubled. This is one time where I’m all on Victoria’s side with the truth; you might not like what she is saying, but she speaks the truth with no regret.

Lilly spilled tea to Priscilla about her ordeal with Donald, as Simone was given advice on when to strike to get revenge on Victoria for sleeping with Eli. What are we spending so much time on this unnecessary dialogue that is a back and forth between Bobby and Max? I’m starting to realize that Tyler Perry just drafts scenes together to give his characters screentime, even if there is no purposed to the narrative at all.

Here we go again with a pointless scene with more dialogue than we need between Richard and Sam. Dare I say this, it’s time for Richard and Nancy to go. They are bringing nothing to the table that makes me care about either character. Kyle and Donald chatted about their predicament, just as Eli found himself having to negotiate with a top crisis manager in Constance, who demanded to meet with Hunter and Victoria to know precisely what has unfolded. It was smart to have Hunter vet Constance because I got the same feeling when she entered, ‘The Oval;’ something about this woman just isn’t adding up.

Constance paid a visit to Allan looking for the Chief of Staff, which raised a flag with Allan upon realizing that he wasn’t what she expected. This totally feels like a filler episode, with absolutely no story movement AT ALL. Just characters sharing scenes and talking in circles. We are getting a lot of flashbacks in this episode; I feel those flashbacks are happening for a reason. I’m not sure precisely why.

Jason’s trauma is coming front-and-center, discussing his mother forgetting his birthdays and not showing any affection to her children while she raised them. Jason admitted to Victoria that he was responsible for killing her mother and he relished in her demise. Jason and Victoria bonding over the death of her mother, had Hunter shaken. Again, the question remains: WHERE IS GAIL? Jason tried to make it clear that he planned to take out Hunter, but Hunter made it clear Jason better not try anything.

Victoria made it clear she didn’t know the whereabouts of Gail; that she was sent to a camp to do hard labor; whoa, Gail was sent to that cult camp with ‘The Highest.’ Jason made it clear that Gail is not at that camp. Jason became unnerved threatening Victoria as he taunted having a KNIFE, which he actually did and he stabbed Victoria. Looking forward to next week, where more mayhem is unleashed inside ‘The Oval’ and secrets are revealed. Until next week “The Oval” fanatics!

HOLLYWOOD—There are storylines that can be fun, and then there are storylines in the soap opera arena that simply frustrate you to the core. Can you guess which soap opera I’m referring to? I’m talking about “The Bold and the Beautiful.” Gosh, they have beaten this narrative of Luna Nozawa like a dead horse, so much to the point that it has annoyed me to the core.

Look, Luna being revealed as the culprit that murdered Tom and Hollis and then later kidnapped Steffy and was ready to kill her also was fun. You know what wasn’t fun: learning she was Finn’s daughter that he never knew. It was like twist on-top of twist, as the audience soon discovered that Luna was pardoned from prison for committing 2 murders because Bill Spencer felt sorry for her. Make it make sense.

Luna loses it and goes on a rampage, nearly kidnapping Hayes, actually kidnapping his teacher and then pulling a gun on Sheila and Steffy. Sheila was shot, and Liam was shot. The audience finally though the end was near when Luna was pronounced dead. Wait for it, she was NOT because Dr. Li decided to try to give her niece another shot at redemption from keeping her alive. Would Luna turn over a new leaf. Nope. She drugged and raped Will getting pregnant with his child in the process.

This led to Luna FINALLY getting thrown behind bars where the audience thought that was the end of her, but nope. She found a way to escape prison and went straight to Will begging for forgiveness. Will was livid, and so was Electra. People have already sad this so it’s not a stretch, but no one cares about the relationship between Will and Electra. The chemistry is NOT EXPLODING on the small screen despite the writers seeming to think otherwise.

Long story short, the hunt for Luna began and she fell over a cliff and into the water. She is presumed dead. Do you know what that means in the soap opera world? Luna Nozawa is not dead, the soap is just taking a break from the character, until she returns in the future. You should likely expect her to probably be caring a baby as well. Luna is a great liar so that tale about her miscarrying the baby with Will? Yeah, I don’t know if I buy that? Would you?

Why am I bringing this up? It feels like “The Bold and the Beautiful” is seriously struggling in the narrative department. The same storylines feel like they are being recycled over and over and over again. First it was Luna, now it’s likely to be Brooke, Ridge and Taylor with a mix of Deacon. Why? Taylor and Deacon have shared a few kisses and moments, and we all know Sheila is possessive as hell.

She has history with Taylor Hayes, history that almost left Taylor and Brooke dead because of Sheila shooting them. Do I want to see crazy Sheila unleashed again? Yeah, why? There are a lack of villains on daytime TV and the villains that we do have are of a new age, where they have to be ‘reformed’ from bad too good. I don’t want to see that I want a villain who is an actual villain and refuses to adhere to the norms, and if anything, they embrace their villainy to a point that is so riveting it makes TV must-see.

I’m not even about to chat about Liam and Hope because that was so unbelievable. One minute you’re engaged to Carter and like 2 seconds later you’ve cut off the engagement, professed your love to Liam and now you guys are engaged? Yeah, I wanted to see those two back together, but c’mon, the writing here was just so sloppy and bad. Maybe we need some new characters in the mix to shake the plots up a bit and bring excitement back to a soap opera that used to be so much fun to watch.

HOLLYWOOD—The game is afoot, but it’s not as exciting as people would like to think on “Survivor 49.” This week’s episode, ‘Huge Dose of Bamboozle, witnessed Steven and Kristina realizing that they are on the bottom. Sophi and Sophie want to target Steven, but does Sophie realize she’ll be next once Steven and Kristina are booted from the game.

I knew that Sage was going to spill to Jawan that Kristina has the idol. Sage of course, you shouldn’t have spilled that Intel because it will come back and bite both of you in the butt. I can already see this is precisely how Kristina goes home, because Sophi is going to learn about it. Jawan tested Steven who lied about Kristina having the idol, and it was apparent that Kristina was breaking down; like seriously breaking down, as Steven did his best to console his only ally.

During a Reward Challenge it was apparent that Kristina was emotionally breaking, as it was apparent the death of her mother has taken a toll on her. It was something I’ve never witnessed before in the game of “Survivor.” It was indeed a moment, it was beyond powerful and it meant something amazing to not the other contestants, but the viewers at home. The Sanctuary is in play with hamburgers, hot dogs and chocolate cake.

Sophie, Sophi, Sage and Steven were heading to The Sanctuary, while the other four, Jawan, Kristina, Savannah and Rizo had to go back to camp and speculate on what to do next. Rizo was having a moment because he needed food, so Jawan hoped to brighten the day by going after some food. Sage wanted to go after Savannah and let Sophie know that information and she was ready to make a move. Yeah, this scene with Jawan, Steven and Rizo rapping is the reason why 90-minute episodes are not needed; if anything, I’m ok with the 60-minute episodes. These moments do not humanize the players more for me.

Uli plus Sophi wanted to target Steven, and I forgot Savannah has an extra vote. Sage has other plans and spilled to Steven and Sophie. At least Sophie realized that she is in the middle of these 2 groups. Smart move to consider what way she goes; Sophie you have to remember you’re aiming for a million dollars, so make the optimal move, not the safe move. FINALLY, an immunity challenge where only one person is safe.

Jeff wanted to barter a deal; enough rice for the rest of the game, but 3 people had to sit out. Rizo and Kristina made it clear that they were NOT sitting out of the challenge. Jawan tried to negotiate, but Jeff was not buying. Well, Savannah is not safe, but will anyone make the move with Sophie winning immunity ensuring her safety. She has to make a choice; will she make the choice that causes her a million dollars. I feel she is going to make a mistake, which she did, and I don’t understand what the hell Sophie is doing, it is a bad move.

Savannah and Rizo are now aware that Jawan and Sage are flipping, Kristina and Steven also have a plan to try to utilize votes on Savannah and Rizo. Jeez, this is precisely why, I don’t think Savannah will win the game; she hasn’t build bonds with anyone beyond Rizo and Sophie. You have to make connections with people.

Sophi and Savannah decided to flip the vote to target Sage. So this could be an exciting Tribal Council, but maybe not as exciting as one would hope. Like, what the hell is Jawan doing. I have no clue if he’s trying to blindside someone of if he’s obviously about to make a crazy move that even the audience didn’t expect. I can already see it now, Rizo is going to be annoying as hell on season 50 of “Survivor.” His ego is a problem, just like Savannah. Oh, if they don’t get a slice of humble pie in season 49, they are getting a slice of humble pie with the titans in season 50.

Kristina made the move and played her idol for Steven, about got damn time, Rizo decided to play his idol for Savannah. Two players playing idols for other people besides themselves. So Rizo decided to play a fake idol to try to bamboozle the contestants? That alone should tell Sophie that she cannot trust him. Votes for Savannah, Rizo, Jawan, what the hell is going on? So, it’s either Jawan or Savannah going home, but it’s Jawan because Sophie made the stupid move that would have taken out a power player.

Well, I guess I was wrong, but it was obvious Sage was not happy with her trusted ally being booted from the game. This is intriguing because it gives leverage to Steven and Kristina to scoop up Sage as a number, and with an idol back in the game it means, Sophi won’t know who has it, which could be interesting. I think Sophie and Sage could truly become game-changing players if they make the right move. Sorry, not sorry, but I need Rizo to be knocked off his high horse, because it’s long overdue. Until next week “Survivor” fanatics!

HOLLYWOOD—The aftermath what would it be after all the bombshells from last week on “The Oval.” This week’s episode, ‘A Plan Deferred’ witnessed Sharon paying off that debt Kareem owed, but more troubles could be headed her way with that money. In other news, Simone and Eli had a stalemate about their predicament. Simone jeez what the hell is your issue; you cheated on your husband willing not knowing he was implementing a man to take down a corrupt political party.

Looks like there was trouble in Simone and Eli’s marriage long before his ‘mission’ to take down Hunter and Victoria, while she was messing around with Bobby. Down in the bunker, Victoria and Hunter traded barbs about their current predicament. Victoria was giddy to see Jason about to be placed into a cell and he was worried sick about dealing with his parents. Jason threatened Victoria and she called his bluff, when mother and son had a stare down; the question is who would blink first?

Jeez, this Bobby and Sam rivalry has certainly gotten odd quick. Sam, Bobby is NOT sleeping with Priscilla, get over yourself. At least Sam, Bobby and Max conversed that its obvious that Hunter and Victoria is NOT going down without a massive fight. Why is this vital? A blow is coming the question is who can be trusted and who cannot? Allan spilled to Dale he got a major promotion at The White House.

OMG, Tyler Perry with this stale dialogue between characters for no reason? The dialogue needs to have movement towards the narrative not dialogue for the reason of just having dialogue. Another senseless scene. Rachel decided to pay Allan a visit, where it became apparent these two have unfinished business. Again, senseless dialogue that served absolutely no purpose.

Nancy unleashed a bit of rage on Sam about her predicament before he explained what unfolded. Wow, Sam you are seriously gaslighting Nancy over the death of his father, when we all know he did do it. Sam you are just as dirty as Victoria, hunter and all the others, and after that bomb you dropped on Priscilla two weeks ago, I’m ready for you to receive your comeuppance. Is Lilly going to spill to Allan precisely what leverage Donald might have on him? Yeah, Allan you are compromised because Donald KNOWS you struck that person with your vehicle and killed them.

Allan, you really need to stop lying! Lilly knows you hit and killed that person, she heard the conversation and saw the video. She gave him every chance for an out, and he still fumbled the ball. Eli informed Alonzo that Jason needs to be in a cell with Victoria because he wants to rattle Jason, which is critical to their defense. Well, this is a new face, Constance Waters (Crystle Stewart). Love the actress who is already appearing on Tyler Perry’s “Beauty in Black.”

Eli explained to Constance the situation at hand, and she is not one who plays around. I love this character, I mean LOVE this character. There is nothing like new blood to shake things up. Was wondering when we would get the opportunity to hear from Donald and Kyle? Kyle was livid with the situation, while Donald was pondering what moves to make to weasel out of their situation. Donald hit the nail right on the coffin about Allan killing that person. Donald was optimistic, but Kyle was seeing the writing on the wall.

I knew Kyle was ready to make a move on Donald considering the circumstances. The final moments of the episode witnessed, Alonzo moving Jason from Hunter’s cell and into Victoria’s cell. Jason tried to make a move, and Alonzo was forced to manhandle Jason before sticking him into a cell with his wicked mother, who was eager to inflict some pain on her son. Victoria started to strike Jason and he fought back. It led to Victoria strangling Jason and Hunter strangling her.

Next week’s episode looks intriguing as I wonder if Constance Towers is actually a friend or foe? Until next Tuesday “The Oval” lovers!

HOLLYWOOD—It is hard to fathom that we ONLY have 1 more week of November Sweeps in the soap opera arena. Right now, “General Hospital” has all my attention because it has been an absolute hoot to watch. For starters, Anna Devane has been kidnapped. Who has kidnapped the Police Commissioner? I have my ideas, and I think this has Cesar Faison’s fingerprints all over. There has been just way too much chatter about this guy of late for him to not be culpable in what has unfolded. She was drugged in her car, and all the viewers know she is being held in a cell of some sorts.

Whoever has her captive has those in Port Charles thinking Anna has taken a leave of absence, however, if Robert or even Holly were around, they would know that is not the case. Rest in peace Tristan Rogers, so the only person who might be culpable to pinpointing something is wrong with Anna would be her daughter Robin Scorpio, but we haven’t seen her in years. Would it be nice to see Robin back. Of course, do I think it will happen? No.

With that said, Dante Falconeri of all people has been appointed as the Police Commissioner of Port Charles. The guy who thinks he can do no wrong and always plays things by the books is the heavy hitter when it comes to the Port Charles Police Department. Oh, great, just want the viewers wanted? NOT! I’m sorry Dante reminds me of Chase sometimes. They act so moral and mighty, but you just want to see that dark side emerge a bit more to give their characters a bit of an edge.

We are seeing that more and more with Chase who I would argue has become obsessed with trying to nail Michael Corinthos for Drew’s shooting. I did have a theory recently that Chase could be the culprit in Drew’s shooting. I know it sounds crazy but stick with me for a minute. Chase is a detective; he lives in the Quartermaine mansion so he would have access to that firearm. I just find it odd that Chase wouldn’t land the shot if he truly wanted to take Drew out. Perhaps, Tracy showing up startled him or such.

This sounds crazy, but it has only been a little over 2 months since Drew’s shooting, and he has recovered quite well. Typically, on a soap opera, we wouldn’t discover the shooter for like 6 months to a year, so if we DO finally get a revelation, which I hope unfolds by next week, we can start to piece the puzzle together. Why do I say that? We know Willow is not the culprit, Michael seems way too obvious and this current direction of pointing the finger at Portia is so obvious, she is NOT the shooter.

I mean Ric Lansing and Alexis Davis collaborating to raise the pressure on Portia Robinson being a culpable party in Drew’s shooting? I never expected to see that in a million years. Especially, after what happened with Ava, Kristina and Alexis holding him captive for all that time. I guess letting bygones be bygones for Molly’s sake is intriguing. Ric was even representing Rocco, his great nephew on the behest of Sonny of all people. Oh, yes, Ric Lansing is turning over a new leaf people. One that involves him aligning with his brother.

So, let’s talk about Rocco who is just too damn impressionable. Gio and Emma are so determined to expose Dalton, they have gotten Danny, Charlotte and Rocco (teens by the way) entangled in this mess. Not only did Rocco swipe the key FOB from Britt, the trio broke into Dalton’s lab and got caught. Rocco sacrificed himself to protect his brother and sister, and as a result he is facing felony charges for destruction of property.

Yes, Rocco was forced to face the music in court, and it startled Sonny, Laura, Dante, Ric and Lulu in the process. Yes, DA Turner who Sonny thought he was charming did her job and Rocco is now in a juvenile detention facility and these charges are NOT going anywhere. Dalton absolutely fabricated what transpired and this has made Jenz Sidwell, and Britt very angry. Sidwell is so angry that he took drastic measures to eliminate Professor Henry Dalton by shooting him dead right in front of Britt stunning her in the process.

Yeah, I didn’t expect the character to be killed off this soon, I mean Daniel Goddard, just arrived on the canvas not too long ago. The thing I’m intrigued about is all this talk about the ‘MAN’ who is in cahoots with Jenz on this super-secret project. WHO IS THIS PERSON “GH” fans? I want to believe it is Cesar Faison, but my gut tells me that may not be the case, so if not him then who?

Making the situation worse is Laura got into a heated altercation with Dalton about Rocco while voting. Yeah, Laura may not win re-election, at least that is what the writers wanted viewers to think, but that was NOT the case. Sidwell’s latest stunt bodes very bad for Laura Collins, but I really love seeing Genie Francis back on the screen. This soap vet should never be off the screen. The massive question we all want to know is how November Sweeps will conclude, there is going to be another bombshell before we enter December and get ready for February Sweeps.

HOLLYWOOD—When this series first premiered several years back it was one of my favorites because it took the best chefs in the country and forced them to compete against one another in a bracket style tournament. The first season was amazing because you saw titans of chefs being knocked out by underdogs.

With that said, Guy Fieri’s “Tournament of Champions” started to get a bit stale as we entered season 5, and season 6 was just dreadful. Why? It was some of the worst editing I had witnessed that made it so obvious who was winning each round and the judging just wasn’t great for me. NOTE TO FOOD NETWORK: please work on your editing because some of those battles made it so clear who was winning it took the fun out of things. What does that mean? I shouldn’t know the winner before the judging even takes place.

With that said, we had something unexpected with “Tournament of Champions: All-Star Champions” that witnessed some top tier candidates’ ones that we have not seen in the competition in a long time like Alex Guarnaschelli, Aaron Sanchez, Marcus Samuelsson, Shirley Chung, the Voltaggio brothers, Marcel Vigneron, Damaris Phillips and Aarti Sequiera return to the foray. Those were some faces we haven’t seen compete in a while.

We did get our usual competitors in Mei Lin and Nini Nyguen, Jet Tila, Lee Anne Wong, Tobias Dorzon, Adam Sobel, Britt Rescigno, Kevin Lee, Sara Bradley, Amanda Freitag, Maneet Chauhan, Stephanie Izard and Antonia Lofaso. However, things are different this time around is two dishes have to be made. One is sweet, the other is savory.

So, we have esteemed pastry chefs like Sherry Yard and Zac Young competing alongside titans. Yeah, it is damn fun to witness, but I’m about to go off on one of the battles that was so obvious WHO WON and WHO SHOULD HAVE WON, only for them to win against to titans of chefs that didn’t bring their best.

Aarti and Christa should have won that battle against Antonia and Alex. I mean we had a tied score, not to mention the plating on Aarti and Christa’s dishes just looked stellar in my opinion. It feels like “Tournament of Champions” is in this era where they don’t want to have the upsets they had in the first 2-3 seasons of the series. Hey, that is what made the series so much fun. If it becomes obvious; it is not so much fun anymore if you ask me.

I loved some of the combinations in the battles so far at this point that just seemed crazy. However, I think it’s time for the series to mix things up even more at this point. There needs to be another layer of mayhem to the game to make it more unpredictable because it has gotten a bit stale at this point and it’s not as exciting as it has been before in the past. How about a top seed GETTING to choose who they battle after a victory or such. Shake up things in a way that the competitors and audience do not see it coming. New episodes air Wednesdays at 8 p.m. on The Food Network.

HOLLYWOOD—I thought last week would be the turning point for season 49 of “Survivor,” but it is not. I will admit I am watching this season for you guys, but I am checked out on this season. It is not entertaining to watch at all. If anything, the people at the bottom should NOT in a single episode take control of the game, as a direct result of “Survivor” doing what it does too much: countless advantages or twists.

I swear to God I don’t want to see this in season 50, if it is, its time for Jeff Probst to get the boot. He’s screwing up the game and he’s not even coy about it anymore. When the 5 people from Tribal Council returned faces were shocked to discover MC was booted from the game. Kristina was shocked that MC was booted, and the talk about Rizo not having to play his idol was brought up obviously!

Sophie was not happy to realize she didn’t really have any solid allies, which means Rizo, Savannah and Sophi are going to utilize that to her advantage. Savannah spilled to Sophi that she has an extra vote. Savannah not wise, that is something Sophi can use against you. I’m sorry the only rootable person of the 3 underdogs is Sophi. Rizo is becoming annoying and Savannah is just not likeable at all; she isn’t. She is a villain and if she embraced it that would make her so much more likeable.

Steven what the hell are you doing? God these players are horrible. Steven shared that with Sage. I trust Sage not to spill that intel, but I don’t know if Steven can trust Sage as much as he thinks he should. Sophie aligning with Savannah, Sophi and Rizo is not smart, and Alex what are you doing? You’re playing double agent, and it’s not the smartest thing in my eyes. Rizo pegged that, and it’s obvious the guy is a bit much. I’m so glad ‘RizGod’ is going to be schooled on “Survivor 50” with actual legends. You are not the icon that you think you are.

Time for a reward challenge that involves two teams of 4, leaving one person sitting out. The winning tribe eats fried chicken, French Fries, soft drinks and cheesecake. Sophi is sitting out of this challenge. The team rewards challenges need to stop, let things be individual reward challenges. Blue Team won, which means once again Jawan is not getting any substance with actual food.

So again Kristina, Savannah, Alex and Sophie get to eat, but Kristina wants to give Jawan the opportunity for Jawan to eat. Jawan admitted he wants to earn it, and he has trouble accepting it. His tribemates encourage him to eat, despite him not actually wanting to do it. Kristina, you better not spill to anyone on this tribe you have an idol; if you do, its endgame for you. That chicken didn’t look great to say the least, but that pimple on Alex’s nose is so obvious. So we are getting a bit of Jawan’s backstory that says so much about him as a character.

Sophie you’re sharing too much that could be used against you later at the game. Jawan made it clear he isn’t as open as everyone thinks he is. Sage chatted with Kristina about making a move against Savannah or at least flushing Rizo’s idol. Sophi spilled to Savannah that the other side might be splitting votes. Sophi needs to realize if she doesn’t make a move, she is NOT winning against Rizo or Savannah at the end.

Savannah spilled to Sophi that she is a news reporter. Guess what? Who cares. Sophi spilled all to Rizo, Sophie and Savannah about his split vote plan. Rizo wanted to take Alex out, while Savannah was right not to trust Sage and Jawan. Jawan why don’t you ask Alex instead of listening to Rizo. We actually get an individual Immunity Challenge that I suspect Savannah will not be winning, as this seems to be focused on strength. Why are we giving 2 people individual immunity. “Survivor” is doing too much, the last man and woman standing are safe. So only 7 people are vulnerable?

Rizo was the first to drop out, soon followed by Kristina. The talking would drive me nuts, and I can see this being Steven’s downfall, or maybe Sage. Alex dropped, soon followed by Sophi. So that means Savannah or Sophie will be safe, as well as Jawan or Steven. Jawan couldn’t hold on and Steven secured safety. I would love to see Sophie win over Savannah. Savannah is just not likeable; I don’t know what it is about her, she just makes you not root for her, even though Savannah won her second consecutive immunity.

We can simply get to the vote because this strategy doesn’t even matter to me at all. Kristina, Sophie and Steven wanted to target Rizo to force him to play his idol. Sophi could be the potential backup, but I think the problem is Sophie. She might spill to the others, exactly what I expected. Rizo spilled to Sophie that he wanted to get Alex out.

Force Rizo to play that idol, it’s long overdue. Jawan seriously? Alex is NOT doing anything and discovered that Rizo is after him. Alex started to chat, first with Sophie then Kristina, Sage, Steven and Jawan to secure his safety. Sage, c’mon please don’t a bad move. Jawan, Rizo has an idol, you can’t be this stupid.

This Tribal Council is so damn boring. Not sure what Jeff meant with this season heating up at the merge. No, it truly has not. Savannah is so unlikeable, even at Tribal Council. I just realized it’s NOT smart for Sophi to take out Alex; that’s a possible number for her. I could care less who is voted out. Jawan and Sage stupid butts voted for Alex instead of taking a strike at Rizo.

You cannot make up this bad gameplay. This is just bad. Next Wednesday, don’t expect a “Survivor” recap from me, I’m checking out for the holiday because I’m just NOT ENTERTAINED at this point. The teaser tells you who’s going home next week, its Kristina because why would the jury react that way? I will tell you, “Knowledge is Power” is played.

HOLLYWOOD—So, we picked things back up on “The Oval” right where things ended last week. This week’s episode, ‘Ironclad’ saw Hunter, Jason, Isaac and Priscilla zip tied. Priscilla was later released, as Victoria, Donald, Sam, Kyle, Bobby, Max, Allan and almost everyone on the cast had a dramatic scene that was not as entertaining as I hoped.

Dale and Sharon arrived at Allan’s place ready to count a load of money. Allan was in a mood as usual, but Dale and Sharon didn’t let that distract them. Sharon wanted to pay that debt and be done with the dirty money. However, Dale wanted to pay whatever debt Kareem owed and then take a bit of that money for himself. Allan returned home and discovered the loads of money and was in a bit of shock, as a result. Dale created a distraction per usual, as Sharon continued to count money.

Hunter was not pleased to be in the clutches of his enemy with Eli tossing around his weight, with Simone, Donald and so many others by the ‘President’s Way.’ Eli wanted to chat with Jason, but Victoria was having none of it, as her wicked, Queen Bee side came front-and-center. Eli started to spill a bit of tea, and it became obvious Victoria was about to unleash some rage yet to be seen and I don’t think Eli is going to like that.

Whoa, Eli was sending Victoria to the bunker, but the Ice Queen made it crystal clear blood was about to be spilled and when Victoria sets her sights on something all wholly hell is about to break loose. Priscilla was loving it, but I sense Victoria and Hunter are about to realign and some mayhem is going to explode as a result.

Victoria spilled the truth to Simone about sleeping with Eli in front of the entire audience. The barbs were traded, and Donald huffed like he had power, but FYI Donald, you’re not as powerful as you think you are. We do NOT need the entire cast of the series inside ‘The Oval’ people. Once again this is Tyler Perry DOING TOO DAMN MUCH!

Donald was a bit mum, when Eli asked him to speak his mind. Wow, Eli is nailing everyone, now Kyle and Donald is on the list. Weapons were drawn, and Kyle was forced to turn over all his weapons, just as Lilly made her appearance and got her revenge on Donald via Eli. Ok, I didn’t see this coming.

Oh, I’m loving this, like loving Lilly getting her pound of flesh. I DO want to know how Lilly and Eli know each other. All the villains are headed to the bunker people, after 6 seasons FINALLY, the revenge tour is in full gear. The last on the list is Jason. Eli presented him with 2 options: tell the truth and admit to his crimes. Jason was warned he could be headed to the bunker with his parents or spill his parents secrets.

Jason lashed out, and he was adamant he didn’t kill Jean, when the audience actually saw him do it. Jason refused to testify against his parents and was sent to the bunker also. Allan was appointed as Interim Chief of Staff, meaning he has taken over Donald’s position. How ironic is this people? It looks like Eli is full of secrets and a potential double, double agent. Yes, these two have been working together all this time and I would have never expected this in a million years. Eli was jealous of Bobby’s antics and ready to give him his pink slip.

Priscilla spilled some tea about Eli’s little video with Victoria and apparently Simone is a crucial piece to this puzzle. Richard do we really need Richard’s presence to confirm what we already know? Richard was doubtful all is over, and I hate to say it, but I have to agree with him. This Nancy and Richard storyline is just a sad tale that needs to end already. As a viewer, I simply do not care about these two.

Lilly spilled to Simone that she was working with Eli and Priscilla to bring down the administration. Lilly called a spade a spade about Simone sleeping with Bobby which caused ruffles. Simone was feeling like an idiot for cheating on her husband with Bobby of all people. Yes, Simone this was a setup and you feel for Bobby when you shouldn’t have. Looks like you have egg on your face. This dialogue is just terrible between these 3 ladies; it is not flowing naturally at all and feels quite forced to say the least.

Would have never pegged Lilly and Priscilla as undercover allies. However, we had to wait for the other shoe to drop, with the final moments of the episode witnessing a masked assailant attack Sharon who ferociously fought back. Next week’s episode looks good as Kyle and Donald make plans, and Victoria and Hunter trade barbs.

HOLLYWOOD—Just when “Survivor” has momentum moving in the right direction, they find a way to introduce a stupid twist that takes all that momentum away. Yeah, I’m just saying it now, “Survivor 49” is a bust and it will NOT be remembered as some sort of great season; it just won’t. This week’s episode, ‘Hot Grim Reaper’ witnessed the aftermath of that blindside that sent Nate to jury and Rizo, Samantha and Sophi on the outs.

The tension at Lewantu was crazy thick; I mean Rizo, Savannah and Sophi were speechless by the move that erupted. Sophi explained to Steven that she voted for him; yeah, she was doing her best to save grace with the others. Sophi was realizing she might have to adjust her game to go further. MC utilized her idol as a plan to see who she could trust and who she couldn’t trust. No, Jawan I don’t think it’s a trust thing, she was strategizing.

Jawan did do some socializing to let Rizo know he still wanted to work with him, but he truly didn’t. Will Savannah become likeable when she finds herself at the bottom of the bunch. The problem with Savannah is her social comes across as inauthentic. Alex realized the idol was back in play and he decided to start searching for the idol alongside Steven and Kristina.

Wow of all people, Kristina was the person to locate the idol. Girl please be careful and not spill that information to Sophi who has the Knowledge is Power advantage. Oh Alex, please don’t share that with Sophi as it might be your downfall. Steven wanted to target, and if that’s the case, that tells me Savannah is not likely to go home. Sage pulled Sophi aside to talk about how she felt bullied by Savannah. Sophi was convincing proving she’s not aligned to Savannah; do I believe that? No, but Sophi is great as hell making people think she’s willing to adjust her game.

Oh, that scene at the water well with Savannah, Sophi and Sage was super awkward. Savannah was indeed cracking and breaking down under pressure talking about one job as a reporter made her felt iced out; she shared that tale with Steven and how it impacted her ability to carry a child. Yes, this does humanize Savannah to a degree that makes her likeable and connect to you as a viewer. This is what we needed to see from her to make her rootable.

So here is Jeff Probst changing up the game; in a way that many people are not going to be pleased with. The twist to this Immunity Challenge forces 2 groups of 5 to compete. The winning group everyone earns immunity. The losing tribe goes to Tribal Council. Whoever lasts the longest gets and advantage, plus there is a reward, deli sandwiches. This such a stupid twist. Just let the 10 players compete, whoever lasts the longest wins Immunity, the other 9 are available to be voted out. This is so stupid, I’m angry about this.

So, one team consists of Savannah, Sophi, Kristina, Alex and Steven. The other team consists of Sophie, MC, Kristina, Rizo and Sage. Kristina was the first to drop, soon followed by Alex, Rizo, MC and Steven. Jawan was totally struggling, while Sophi was praying. Jawan dropped during the transition, but Sophi later dropped. So, Savannah was the only 1 remaining on Yellow, righting against Sage and Sophie. Sophie is indeed a competitor people. So, this showdown is between Savannah and Sophie.

My gut is telling me Kristina might be going out with Alex spilling about her idol to Sophi who steals it and it’s a bad move. Welp, I was wrong, Savannah won immunity, and someone for the other 5 is getting the boot. We know Rizo is safe, so that means, Sophie, MC, Jawan or Sage is getting the boot. I don’t like that 5 people are safe and not even going to Tribal Council. We literally still have 45 minutes left in this episode. Like it feels like things are about to drag. Sophie wanted to consider Rizo, but she has to realize trying to take out Rizo, who has an idol will be impossible.

I don’t see how Rizo would NOT play his idol; he would be stupid not to do it. If Sophie was smart, she should be telling Rizo to play the idol for her and they target Jawan. Sophie second plan was to target Jawan, which was something MC didn’t want to do. So, MC is the reason Sophie goes out. MC what are you doing; Sophie is loyal to you MC, it’s just a bad move.

Back at the other camp they enjoyed deli sandwiches, and we learn Savannah’s advantage, which is likely a vote steal or vote block. Alex wanted to make a plan, and Steven and Alex were pinpointing that Sophie might be going out the game. Wow, I just thought about it: Sophi knows Savannah has an advantage. So, she has power at the Tribal Council and influence tonight’s vote. Hmmm, I kinda of like this. Savannah can cast a vote tonight or use it for later. It is obvious; she should save that vote for later. She gets to chat with Rizo, this changes things because right when you start to like Savannah she goes back to her old ways.

Jawan spilled to Sage what Sophie was up to, but Sage was not happy with all his flip-flopping. Sage was being messy because she explained to Sophie that MC spilled her tea, and this resulted in MC probably becoming a major threat to go home. Chaos erupted when Savannah arrived at camp explaining she was about to unleash chaos.

Savannah as much as I was starting to like you, that ultimately changed when she gained a bit of power. So we could be looking at 6 votes here, not 5. Rizo starting to chat and wanted to take out MC, Sage wasn’t buying what Rizo was selling. Rizo was willing doing a ton of work and wanted to send MC out. Sophie was seeing everything that Rizo was up to.

MC is literally shooting herself in the foot; I can’t with her. This twist totally screwed up the game and immediately gave those in the minority the majority in a way that shouldn’t have happened. Stop with the twists JEFF PROBST! You just killed this season right when it was getting interesting.

Just realized everyone is going to know, if Savannah doesn’t vote, she likely has an extra vote she can use. I guess if you’re perceptive you will figure that out. Notice that Sage didn’t say anything positive about Savannah so that tells you where things stand with those two. I do like Sophie’s approach to slightly rattle the Uli four. Yeah, it feels like MC is cooked, but oh, she got up and started to chat with Jawan causing some chaos. She also chatted with Rizo, then the Uli 3 chatted, with Sophie sitting on the side and NOT getting into the mix of things.

I will admit this got me a bit excitement, too bad we have no idea what was happening with all the chatter though. This would’ve been a perfect opportunity to taken Rizo out. It still feels like MC is getting the boot, and I was right. So just 4 votes being read should tell everyone what they need to know. All those theatrics for something we already knew it. Sorry, but season 49 of “Survivor” is a bust people.

HOLLYWOOD—Yes, last week’s episode of “The Oval” ended on a climatic note with Priscilla throwing Sam down a flight of stairs. This week’s episode, ‘The Time is Now’ saw her get some satisfying revenge as Sam was hurt, pretty badly and she dragged his injured self out of their home. I’ve said this before and I will say it again, Priscilla is not one to play with.

We go from that scene to Allan drowning his sorrows with alcohol before receiving a knock on the door from Alonzo begging for cocaine. Allan was stone-faced; realizing that Alonzo thought he was about to make arrangements to get drugs. Alonzo arrived back at The White House with Max questioning his whereabouts.

Priscilla and Nancy chatted about their predicaments with some shocking reveals along the way. Alonzo delivered Victoria with some ‘cocaine,’ little does she know, that ‘cocaine’ is nothing more than some flour that has been toyed with. I loved that Priscilla toyed with Victoria by calling her Simone, and questions were posed that prompted Victoria to hang up on her. Funny, absolutely hilarious; something I needed in my life.

Simone just cannot quit Bobby considering their constant trysts. If Eli discovers what they’ve been doing, oh, he is going to flip out. Bobby learned from Max what Victoria has been up to when it comes to trying to de-escalate the situation involving Hunter. Yeah, there is a little TOO MUCH small talk this episode and not enough actual plotlines moving forward. Allan perked up after receiving a call from Rachel, but she could sense he was blowing her off, but Allan couldn’t really explain he killed someone with his car and covered it up.

What is this flirt-scene between Lilly and Donald? Donald is not into women, and Lilly knows this. I did like seeing Lilly threaten Donald about speaking with reporters about the inner workings at The White House. Tyler Perry you are falling into this trap yet again with senseless scenes, stale dialogue and just absolute boredom. Who cares about Bobby and Simone talking about her relationship with Eli. Simone knows Eli is cheating on her with Victoria and Eli knows Simone is cheating on him with Bobby. What else is there to discuss?

Dale and Sharon visited Kareem’s apartment hoping to locate him but came ‘home’ to a complete mess. Cabinets open, items broken, and discovered a bloody bed and it prompted them to flee, but not before spotting something strange in the walls? A boatload of money and I mean a boatload of funds. Sharon and Dale started to bag up the money. Sharon didn’t want to take all the money, but Dale was thinking just like anyone else, TAKE IT ALL. The question remains: where is Kareem?

Priscilla and Victoria came face-to-face where it was hilarious to see Victoria realize she didn’t have the upper hand that she thought she did. Priscilla was right: Hunter was not going to trust her because her hubby already knew what his wife did when she drugged him in the past. The final moments of the episode witnessed Hunter realizing that Priscilla had come to pay him a visit. Priscilla was not alone, as Max and Hunter were close by. Hunter discovered that time was limited as the strike attack erupted with bullets being fired and Priscilla being caught in the middle of it.

Must say, i didn’t expect that, but next week looks exciting, as battlelines are being drawn, and people’s true colors are shown. Until next week “The Oval” lovers!

HOLLYWOOD—It may be hard to believe, but this might be the most exciting time of the year for soap operas: I’m referring to November Sweeps. November Sweeps are underway on “General Hospital” and while some storylines feel like they are wrapping up, there are plenty where the viewers want more clues and/or answers.

At the forefront is this trio of Britt, Sidwell and Professor Dalton. Dalton had been heading this ‘cloning’ research that Sidwell seems to have a stake in. As well as Britt, who has been pretty mum even though she knows plenty. How so? It has ties to Jack Brennan’s investigation with the WSB that has Josslyn in a major crosshair. Jason spilled to Carly that Josslyn is part of the WSB and that Jack Brennan has been lying to her for months and placed her daughter in grave danger.

To say Carly was shocked and furious is an understand. Her face said it all, and that scene where she spilled out her emotions to Josslyn, should have told her the jig is up, but Josslyn thinks she is smarter than what she actually is. When Carly sets a plan into motion, you know the results will be dastardly. Why? She is schmoozing up to Valentin Cassadine of all people.

Carly flew off to visit Valentin to get information on how to neutralize Brennan and take him down. Valentin is indeed out for blood, and it seems he might know more about this WSB investigation involving Dalton than he is willing to spill. Anna knows this and it has her very rattled. Britt’s return, Nathan’s return is no coincidence, especially when we saw BOTH OF THEM DIE, not like speculate DIE, but DIE! and Anna suspect that this has Cesar Faison’s fingerprints all over it.

To be honest, I agree. There has been way too much talk about Faison for him to have NO ROLE in whatever mayhem is about to strike Port Charles. I’m hoping that unfolds within the next week or so, but the writers are definitely going to have to spill something big regarding this storyline this month, as it appears Dalton is ready to betray Sidwell and Britt is on edge about losing medicine that is keeping her alive.

We know Sidwell is a major player in this research, but there is a bigger player that has Britt, Dalton and Sidwell nervous, and we know it’s a guy and I suspect that has to be Faison. If it’s not him, I can guarantee it has to be Peter August. If you’re asking which villain I would prefer to see its Faison easily, but if not, Faison I guess August would do. Yes, the city of Port Charles and “General Hospital” in general is lacking serious villainy.

Drew Quartermaine isn’t a fun villain; he’s more of an asshole. Speaking of Drew his plans to get his hands on the Quartermaine Mansion from Ronnie blew up in his face when Tracy discovered Monica’s REAL will in a box of Alan’s things. Tracy stormed into the mansion spilled the truth right before that sell could transpire shocking everyone in the process, especially Martin. Why Martin? He was the one that forged Monica’s will in hopes of getting a lick back on Tracy for all his bad luck recently.

Martin confessed to his illegal tactic to his sister Laura, who was none too pleased with her brother and tossed him out of her home as a result. Laura is stressed because her ties to Sonny is hurting her political aspirations, just as Sidwell stopped by making threats, while quite veiled, they were absolute threats that I do not think Laura expected.

Ok, I am going to say something I’m going to get heat for, but why are the writers constantly trying to pair Sonny Corinthos with District Attorney’s hellbent on taking him down. This has happened way too many times and I’m over it. Now Justine is the latest, who is about to fall for his charm and cooking. C’mon, people, seriously c’mon this just doesn’t land with viewers the way writers think it is.

Gio and Emma are entangling Rocco in this mess by trying to get him to utilize his bond with Britt to their advantage. Yeah, Dante is not going to be happy that one brother is using a less impressionable brother to entangle him in something dangerous, very dangerous. This brings us back to WHO shot Drew. The audience still has no idea who the shooter is and its long overdue at this point. One thing for sure, it’s not Willow and it’s not Michael, I don’t think its Portia even though Sonny is pointing the finger in that direction.

My money is still on Wiley being the culprit. I know it sounds crazy, but Michael’s intent seems to be poignant and it’s not just because he wants to get back at Willow, I feel like he is protecting someone and I think a child is the only one that could force something like this. Drew plans to lie and say he now recalls Michael as the shooter, to protect Willow who is currently locked up as a result. Yeah, Willow is totally being punished and its quite cruel to say the least. Who is Drew’s shooter? It’s time for that secret to be spilled people, because we fans are tired of waiting.

Last, but not least, Curtis and Jordan are reuniting, but a Portia bombshell might change it all. Curtis has discovered Portia is pregnant thanks to Joran eavesdropping. The problem, Curtis is certain he’s the father, but guess what, he probably isn’t, I think Isaiah is and that’s going to blow Curtis’s mind, and Jordan’s as well. Can’t wait till we find out who the baby daddy is “GH” fans!

HOLLYWOOD—Alas, the merge has finally arrived, and it feels like this boring season of “Survivor” has finally kicked into gear and it was a longtime coming. After seven episodes, the merge is finally upon us in ‘Blood Will be Drawn’ that witnessed Sage, Jawan and Steven realizing the move they made will have repercussions, but how far that takes them in this next phase of the game will be interesting to see.

Jawan is ready to take out targets on the Uli tribe, I suspect he’s looking at Savannah and Rizo. Yes, Nate you were in serious danger if you went to Tribal Council. So glad MC has the Beware Advantage, and I’m hoping she gets her idol and vote back. So everyone is coming to the new Kele tribe. I cannot wait to see Savannah and Rizo’s reaction to Shannon being voted out. Don’t be nervous you made a move, that’s how I would look at it.

All 11 players on one camp, there is plenty of hugging, laughing and celebrating, but that all changed when Jawan, Sage and Steven greeted the others. Nate was not pleased to see Shannon missing and realized the numbers may not be on his side. The trio concocted a tale to explain to everyone what Shannon did that led to her being voted out. The story was not great if you ask me, simply put they should have just said Steven played an idol and Shannon was booted as a result.

Savannah made it clear she wanted to work with Sage, but Sage spotted Savannah’s BS immediately. Gosh, Sage is like the only person I’m rooting for this entire season. So, another boat has arrived, this time, a treasure chest that contains an advantage. Keys on the island, but only 1 will unlock the chest and everyone sprinted. I hate when “Survivor” does advantages where everyone knows who has it.

When it was all said and done, Sage won the advantage in the upcoming Immunity Challenge. Rizo, Jawan and Nate were speaking about targeting Hina as expected with Sophie being the target. Sophie is not a threat; the person you should be looking to target is MC or Steven? Sophi, from the original Kele wanted to chat with Alex to see what is best for their game. Both are right, they are in the middle. Sophi was pushing to stay loyal to Uli, whereas Alex wanted to play both sides.

We are actually seeing strategy this episode, and I’m so giddy about it. Savannah wanting to kill the chickens got under Sage’s skin. Sage warned Sophie that she is in serious danger. This is the most we’ve seen of Sophie the entire season, but its long overdue. It was difficult to believe we are only on Day 14, and we’re still doing team challenges, which means 1 person is sitting out.

One thing is the contestants didn’t have to earn the merge, but not all will participate in the merge meal. The second challenge will lead to the INDIVIDUAL IMMUNITY CHALLENGE. Ok, I like that, but I would prefer everyone have the chance to compete for safety. Well Jeff Probst confirmed, whoever is voted out tonight will be the first member of the jury and why are we talking about spots on “Survivor 50.”

So, Sage’s advantage allows her to immediately move to the second part of the challenge. She earns the ‘merge meal.’ Yeah, that’s an advantage people. So, our two teams: Nate, Steven, Sophi, Rizo and Sophie, the other team Jawan, Alex, Kristina, Savannah and MC. The Blue Team was first to start working on the puzzle, with Kristina and Jawan working, while the yellow team had Nate and Sophie. Yellow figured out the phrase immediately and they were working at rocket speed. That was so close, but Yellow edged out the win.

So, this is that classic challenge of holding that ball on a disk while moving down steep intervals. Rizo was first to be out, with everyone else advancing to the second stage. Sage dropped, soon followed by Nate, leaving Sophi, Steven and Sophie. I’m hoping Sophie from original Hina wins putting a kaput in Uli’s plans. Sophi dropped leaving Steven and Sophie battling for safety. Steven dropped and Sophie who knew she was in danger thanks to Sage is SAFE! Let the scrambling begin.

With MC not having a vote, will she locate her idol? Cause her vote is going to be crucial. Back at camp, Nate, Rizo, Sophi, Sophie and Sage feasted so this war between Uli and Hina is intensifying. OMG, can we please stop with the feel sorry for Savannah party? I am so over it, like I am over it. Nate was scrambling between Steven, MC and Kristina. It was so interesting witnessing no one wanting to talk game, Sage was ready to pounce and go against her original tribe.

Yeah, MC realized that she was in a difficult spot having to look for this advantage considering everything at the camp could know what she is up to. She located the treasure chest under the boat, and she had to locate the idol before Tribal Council or she can’t vote. MC was honest with Savannah, as it was apparent Savannah was realizing MC was up to no good. I’m sorry, Savannah is not likeable, and MC called her nemesis out on her antics, as they fought for the key. MC got it first, but Savannah was risky.

Savannah tried her best to sway MC, but MC truly was not falling for it at all. Yeah, I think people are catching onto Savannah’s game tactics. MC got her idol and vote back. We know Sophie and MC are safe, which means it looks like Kristina or Steven could be in trouble from Hina, but is there anyone else in danger? Rizo is also safe because he has an idol, so Kristina and Sophie deciphered that maybe they should strike for Nate. Sage didn’t like that Nate was a potential target, as Sophi learned from Savannah that MC has an idol. Damn, I forgot Sophi had the Knowledge is Power advantage.

Steven is looking like the target, and Jawan agreed to go after him because of MC’s idol. Rizo didn’t want to play the idol, and Jawan was considering a move against Rizo, and alerted Steven of that potential move. This is the type of gameplay that might redeem this season because its chaos on chaos and I love it. I seriously have NO CLUE who could be going home tonight, this might be the first Tribal Council all season I am eager to see unfold.

Jeff kicked things off where lines between tribes being up for grabs because there have been so many swaps this season. I love Sage; she’s so honest and perhaps the most perceptive out of everyone in this cast. Rizo you were not the talk of the town; and publicly expressing your idol to the TC is not breaking news. Rizo was bluffing in a good way and that was fun to see, who is going home, will advantages and idols be played? The tension is palpable people.

MC was not risking it and played her idol as expected. What will Rizo do? He did not play it. Steven and Nate are initial targets with tied votes up to this point, but it was Nate who found himself blindsided, as well as Savannah, Rizo and Sophi. I loved that move from Jawan and Sage. Savannah had so much egg on her face, girl just got a massive reality check.

Next week, looks intriguing as Savannah and Rizo realize the numbers are not on their side and revenge is on their mind. Now the game is seriously underway “Survivor” fanatics!

HOLLYWOOD—Yes, I admit, the second episode of last week’s second half of season 6 of “The Oval” was not great. It was quite boring to say the least. This week’s episode, ‘Crossed Boundaries’ witnessed Allan’s good night turn into a terrible one. Alan went into panic mode, as Donald and Kyle speculated on what Allan would do after striking that person.

Little do those two know, that Lilly knows what is going on as well. Yeah, Allan just killed someone; and if Donald is helping him cover up a crime, Donald now owns him. Well, I thought it was a guy at first, but it was a woman that Allan killed. He was ready to call the police, but Donald talked him out of it. Feels like this was a complete setup by Donald, why EXACTLY is still a mystery.

Lilly caught her husband red-handed, and Donald wasn’t pleased. Sharon contacted Dale to alert him that she was kidnapped and needed his help. Donald really saw his blood pressure rise with Lilly getting under his skin and Tyler Perry seems to be putting things into play for a major player like potentially Donald or someone else finally having a date with the Grim Reaper after all these seasons.

Hunter was spiraling because he needed a cocaine fix and was not pleased to learn that Isaac doesn’t know anyone who can supply him with a fix. To say Hunter is a mess is an understatement. OMG, Hunter is indeed spiraling, and this conversation is so stupid and unnecessary with Jason. Jason is not a druggie; he’s a twisted murderer and sex-obsessed psychopath.

Sharon explained to Dale that Kareem is the reason she was kidnapped because of money he owed to the tune of $400K. Dale spilled that Kareem has been selling drugs out of the pharmacy, something Sharon had no idea about. I totally forgot about that. Sharon still has no idea what is up with Kareem who nearly died after she defended herself from him. Sharon was desperate for answers and planned to revisit the crime scene for evidence.

Donald was not getting any sleep, as Victoria rang him in the middle of the night about Hunter starting to spiral because he was out of drugs. Guess what? She was right. Donald spilled that Alonzo got cocaine for Hunter the last time, and that was not wise. Why? Victoria is planning to use that information to her advantage, especially with Alonzo.

Allan was spooked when Kyle stopped by his place and started making demands. Kyle spilled he had leverage over Allan in that hit-and-run he committed. Blackmail that is the name of the game for Kyle and what this guy will do; only one can guess. Victoria pulled Alonzo away from a conversation between Max and Bobby which raised red flags for the agents. Victoria demanded Alonzo to get her some cocaine to prevent a war from erupting. I was so pleased to see Max eavesdrop on the conversation; for once Tyler Perry is making a few of his characters smarter, not dumber.

I was wondering when we would see Priscilla again, and she received a call from Nancy alerting her that she was in jail for Clarence’s murder. Priscilla was not pleased to learn Richard and Sam framed her pal. Sam was eavesdropping on Priscilla’s conversation. Priscilla rammed into Sam about his antics. I’m glad Priscilla is calling Sam out on his double standards. He is the woman, who doesn’t play around.

Wow, Sam has been messing around on Priscilla way before Victoria and has a child! Oh, this a**hole is tossing his discretions in her face, with a son to say the least. Oh, Priscilla better torch his ass to the ground for this betrayal. So much for Sam being a good guy, Tyler Perry has turned him completely into a villain; one that the audience cannot wait to see him receive his comeuppance. In a twisted move, Priscilla pushed Sam down a flight of stairs in a fit of rage; now is he dead? I don’t know, but he’s unleashed something in her that is wicked.

Next week’s episode does look very intriguing to say the least as it appears some long-hidden secrets are about to come out. Until next week, “Oval” lovers.

HOLLYWOOD—It feels like it has been forever, but alas, my Tuesday guilty pleasure from Tyler Perry, “The Oval” is back, and we didn’t just get one episode, we got TWO EPISODES! Yes, the first episode, ‘On Your Mark’ witnessed Nancy being arrested after Richard decided to turn the tables on his wife because of her antics. Nancy was being framed and she started to suffer an asthma attack. Not much help from Sharon on the situation if we’re being honest. Richard is such a ‘Bitter Betty.’

Sam and Richard you should be worried about Priscilla who will be out for blood on her pal being setup for a crime she did not commit. Back inside The White House, Hunter conferred with Isaac about their predicament. The locker room talk between these two is so awkward. Bobby and Simone are seriously still flirting with danger knowing the stakes at risk. Do you want Eli go to scorched Earth!

Allan was not happy that Donald was requesting his services, as it felt like a complete setup, just as Lily decided to trade barbs with her ‘husband’ and his lover Kyle. Kyle wanted to utilize Jason to try to neutralize Hunter, and use Sam as a bargaining chip. Yeah, I don’t think that is going to work. Eli questioned Sam about his whereabouts, just as Victoria and Eli had a face-to-face about who is the actual power player.

Victoria made her presence and prowess known, as she warned Eli not to ever disrespect her again. Victoria warned Eli that Sam despises Donald, and the issue of trust came front-and-center, as she reassured him that ONLY she can be trusted. So they’re really going to utilize a strike team to get Hunter out of hiding? Yeah, that sounds like a complete freaking mess waiting to happen. Allan found himself smitten by a beautiful woman while he was having a drunk at the bar.

She had a face that Allan didn’t recall, she explained she met him earlier in the day and he scolded her, and she has him where she wants him. I wonder if she is a plant from Donald? Richard questioned Sharon about Dale’s whereabouts, as he’s concerned Dale is the only witness who can identify Sam as the culprit who actually stabbed and killed his father. Richard, Sharon just popped back up on the canvas, do you honestly think she has answers? She doesn’t.

Max and Alonzo conversed about Bobby’s whereabouts, which had Max not the least bit pleased as he discovered his pal was securing the First Lady. Jason being Jason thought talking big and bad to Isaac would instill some sort of fear in him, but it did not. Once Isaac left Jason’s bedroom, he snuck into the tunnels proving how he has been maneuvering around The White House committing his mischievous deeds. The episode concluded with Sharon conversing with Dale to stay low as people might be looking for him. Talk about a stunner, with Sharon getting kidnapped.

Our double header picked up with ‘The Fight For Power’ where Sharon was fighting her attacker, who was refusing to reveal any details. I feel like this might have do something with Kareem. I’m sorry, but this storyline just feels wasteful and stupid. OMG Tyler Perry, after having a solid first episode, this second episode is a complete disaster so far. I was correct, the kidnapping has something to do with Kareem owing people money.

Hunter and Isaac discovered that Jason might be up to no good, yet again, as Hunter tried to pry information from his son about Eli and not being able to trust him or Sam. While Bobby and Max were having drinks at the bar, they spotted Allan having drinks with a lady pal. Dale called Allan while he was speaking to his new acquaintance. Wow, even this woman suspects Allan is gay, and Dale went along with this charade, and things got hot and heavy between Allan and his new female friend.

Yeah, Allan is being played here and he has no idea. Kyle was worried about things being so quiet in The Oval. Alonzo warned Sam that Kyle is searching for him, as it was apparent Sam was willing to end the charade involving Nancy, but Richard had to give him the word to do so. Allan was not happy to learn that Rachel drugged him while they were having sex. Dale interrupted Rachel and Allan, and damn did Dale spill way too much.

Sorry, this second episode, is such a bummer for me. Nothing of actual value has unfolded in this episode, I guess beyond Donald and Kyle tracking Allan’s car and for what? Rachel is playing Allan like a fiddle, as it was obvious she started to scour his place looking for evidence. Damn, Allan just struck someone with his vehicle, while not paying attention, and Kyle and Donald having the goods on him. We shall see what happens next week on “The Oval.”

HOLLYWOOD—It looks like the producers are doing everything they can to save season 49 of “Survivor” because its been a dud of a season so far. With this week’s episode, ‘The Devil’s Shoes’ we had one tribe swap, and now, we got a another swap, and the tribes divided into 3 groups of 4. Hmm, something we haven’t seen in some time to say the least.

Too bad for Jawan and company to think the merge is upon them because it is not Jawan, Sophi is not in trouble, you are, and Savannah is still getting on my last nerves. I’m so sick of this woman; like Savannah is not likeable in the least bit, and I don’t know anyone who is rooting for her to be honest.

Jeff spoiled the contestants by letting them discover they are NOT merging, they a shaking the tribes up again. I actually like this. Kele consists of Steven, Shannon, Sage and Jawan. This is great for Jawan. Uli consists of Nate, Kristina, Alex and Sophie, which seems the most equal based. While Hina is the most intriguing with Rizo, Savannah, MC and Sophi. MC might be the odd ball out, but she
has an idol potentially if her tribe loses.

With Kristina having this medical ‘crisis’ it still has not peaked my interest in the season. Well, this is a reward challenge, not a challenge for safety. This reward involved grilled cheese sandwiches, potato chips and ice tea. First tribe to finish will also get dessert, with chocolate brownies. Hina was first to win, with Alex coming in clutch to give Uli some serious food to eat, especially Alex.

I was dying to see how MC would intertwine with these three who are almost solid. Oh, MC knows about Rizo’s idol and plans to utilize that to her advantage, that Sage spilled he has an idol. He was not happy to hear that. Nate did seem like the odd one out on this new Uli and I am glad to see it. I want to see him have to navigate and not have power players loyal to him. Oh, Nate your lie was not being sold and Sophie, Alex and Kristina all picked up on it. I loved that. It was nice to see some fire under Nate for once.

Over at the new Kele, Steven felt like the odd ball out, and started to bond with Jawan. These two bonding is hilarious, as Shannon was doing her best to reel Jawan back in to target Steven. Jawan turn on Shannon, she wants you booted. Steven was bonding with Sage and Shannon as well, but I don’t think Sage feels comfortable with Shannon, and she confirmed that. Rizo, Savannah and Sophi started to search for an advantage. Sophi found the ‘Knowledge is Power’ advantage. If someone has something, she can take it. Yeah, I don’t love that, but glad that she decided to keep that secret to herself.

So the Immunity Challenge has all 3 teams with an equal chance to win. Hina had a large advantage, with Kele not far behind, but Kristina really struggling for Uli. Hina won immunity first, with Uli and Kele battling for second, but a drop by Kele witnessed Uli came from a behind to secure their tribes safety. So who from Kele is headed home. Wow, Shannon wants to turn on Jawan this might be the dagger in her game. Steven is going to use this to his advantage.

Shannon told Sage she needs to vote out Jawan, and Sage played along with that notion, but Sage wanted Shannon out the game and I’m loving this. I want to see a blindside. Sage spilled to Jawan that Shannon wants him out the game and he was stunned by that news. Jawan was worried that striking at Shannon, Nate and Savannah would be upset, and? So could a fun Tribal Council be upon us for the first time this season?

Shannon was too excited feeling so safe and her unbelievable positivity was getting on my nerve. It was so obvious that Sage was annoyed with every word that comes out of Shannon’s mouth. Steven was selling a great tale to Shannon and the others if we’re being honest. Shannon was praying for the outcome she wanted, but little did she expect the blindside that came her way. It was epic to witness. Sage gave her a handshake, not a hug because she knew it was not genuine. Damn, that was brutal, but finally what this season needed!

So the merge is definitely taking place next week and it looks like many targets could be in serious trouble, so this could be quite fun to witness the game finally explode after almost 6 episodes. Until next week “Survivor” fanatics!

HOLLYWOOD—Talk about being stunned after watching a single episode. That is precisely how I felt after watching the premiere episode of “IT: Welcome to Derry.” SPOILER ALERT: if you have not watched the premiere episode, I have no clue why you haven’t, stopped reading this column right now.

If you thought the people you met were going to be the focal point of the entire season, think again. Yeah, the creators dismantled several key characters in a sequence that was just brutal, gut-wrenching and awesome at the same time to watch. I can’t believe that Teddy (Mikkal Karim-Fidler), Susie (Matilda Legault) and Phil (Jack Malloy Legault) are gone, and if this is some twisted dream sequence the creators cooked up shame on them, as it hurts to watch as a viewer.

We have to rewind a bit because the opening of the series was a doozy. I mean we opened to a scene in a movie theater and we closed the premiere episode with a scene in a movie theater. It is here that we meet Matty (Miles Ekhardt), who has snuck into the movie theater in Derry and is being chased around by a theater patron.

Instead he had a pal in Ronnie (Amanda Christine), who did spill where he was hiding so he could escape. That’s where things got crazy because Matty tried to hitchhike and was picked up by a family that seemed normal, but went nutty. How so? The mother who was pregnant, gave birth in a gruesome fashion that was bloody and uncomfortable to watch.

So this was a new transition for me because it opened the door for the infamous clown Pennywise to shape-shift into an illusion that allowed Matty to get inside of a vehicle? Yeah, that was a massive stretch for my liking. I tried to peace the elements together, but they were not fully clicking for me, it wasn’t so the creators have to do some explaining. We didn’t actually see Pennywise (Bill Skarsgard) himself, but I’m expecting that iconic villain to make his presence known much sooner than later.

A deformed monster baby attacked Matty and he has been reported ‘missing,’ but the audience already knows Matty’s fate. This soon leads us into the introduction to a standout character that I enjoyed thoroughly in Lilly (Clara Stack). Lilly is suffering from grief over the passing of her father, that transpired while he was at work. Her mother is pressuring her to visit her father’s grave, but Lilly just isn’t in that head space yet to do so. That leads to her having a strange, vivid nightmare where she sees Matty’s fingers in the sink and hear his voice.

She shares these concerns with Teddy, Susie and Phil who aim to get down to the truth of what’s happening to the kids in Derry, Maine. Teddy suffers a haunting nightmare and it brings the group back to the Capital Theater to watch “The Music Man” and get answers. All hell breaks loose, and Matty’s presence on the screen allows ‘IT’ to unleash and dispatch of Teddy, then Phil then little Susie. To say I was aghast with what I was watching was an understatement. With those 3 being dispatched. It almost felt like a given that Lilly was going to be next, but Ronnie came to her aid. So when its all said and done, Ronnie and Lilly are still standing, but it raises the question: for how long?

Yes, we had the presence of some adults, notably, Major Leroy Hanlon (Jovan Adepo), who suffers racism front and center and is attacked, but aided by his partner Pauly. The adults were not critical for this first episode, which I think will transition as the season progresses. I normally hate prequels because you tend to have a good idea how things will end if there is already other movies in the franchise? However, “IT: Welcome to Derry” has changed my perception and I cannot wait until episode 2 which premieres on Halloween of all days. New episodes of “IT: Welcome to Derry” air Sundays at 9 p.m. on HBO.

UNITED STATES—I was stunned, that is the best way to explain my reaction to discovering the Food Network series “The Kitchen” was being cancelled after 10 years on the network. The news was dropped on Monday, October 20 and it was a gut punch. I had been watching the series since its inception, and it was one of the very rare series that gave ACTUAL cooking instruction.

You had chefs on the series who knew what they were talking about in Iron Chefs Geoffrey Zakarian and Alex Gurnaschelli. Then you had entertaining personalities with Sunny Anderson, Jeff Mauro and Katie Lee Biegel. I immediately went to Reddit because I wanted to see what fans of the channel were thinking. The top responses were “awe” and “shock.” However, what was worse was this feeling that this could be the end of the network.

I have been watching the network for the past 25 years. I give credit to the Food Network for teaching me a lot of the skills I have in the kitchen and to not be afraid to take risks and be creative when you get into the kitchen. This was a network that had an array of programming. Lots of instructional food shows, some competition shows and a bevy of unique personalities with charisma and their own take on technique when it came to the kitchen.

That has all but virtually vanished from the network. Look, I love Guy Fieri, but I truly only watch him on “Diners, Drive-ins and Dives.” That is a staple show that is beyond entertaining after nearly 20 years later. Not the biggest fan of “Guys Grocery Games” because its a competition series and you’re not really learning too much technique or instruction.

I was always a fan of Bobby Flay, but everything he does is a competition now, and I’m sorry, but competition shows when it comes to food is NOT as entertaining as the Food Network would like to think. Also how is it not a conflict of interest with Flay who is dating Brooke Williamson. I mean she’s on “Bobby’s Triple Threat” and she was recently a judge on “BBQ Brawl” where Bobby was one of the team captains.

I’m sorry, I miss the golden age of series like “Everyday Italian,” “Secrets of a Restaurant Chef,” “Iron Chef America,” “Barefoot Contessa,” “30 Minute Meals,” “Good Eats,” “Semi-Homemade Cooking,” and “Trisha’s Southern Cooking” to name a few. You might get a repeat of some of the shows, but about 75 percent of them are long gone and that is the crazy element.

I think there might be like five series tops that I can think of that are on the network, and I’m not loving some of the stuff I see from “The Pioneer Woman” or “Girl Meets Farm.” The food just doesn’t appear as appetizing as the cooks themselves think they do. The Food Network absolutely needs a revamp because if they think they’ll last the next five years, let alone 10 years with just the same competition shows with different people, it will not happen.

I loved “Tournament of Champions” when it first premiered because it was something different, but after the last season, it drove me nuts. It was so obvious who was going to win based on the editing, it took the fun out of watching. In addition, after someone wins a competition series there is NO NEED to have them on every single series on the network. It was like Antonio Lofaso and Maneet Chauhan overlord after they had a few competition wins. When they appeared on “BBQ Brawl” I was scratching my head; never seen them do anything BBQ related so if I’m supposed to take them seriously as BBQ experts the network is going in the wrong direction.

The Food Network could be on its last leg and a great way to revitalize the channel, might to bring back some old faces, ones that made the network the iconic channel that it once was. It feels like that is likely not going to happen and with less and less cooking instruction, what are we actually doing here Food Network? Just a question to consider.

HOLLYWOOD—We had a tribe swap, but that still hasn’t made this season of “Survivor” entertaining. I hate to say it, but the past 2 seasons for “Survivor” not good people, not good at all. This week’s episode, ‘I’m a Wolf, Baby’ saw Shannon finding her in the crosshairs of some Hina members, Steven and MC ready to pounce on her, while Kristina was conflicted about targeting someone that she has emotionally bonded with.

Jason and Jawan were bonding over their nerdiness, smart move for Jawan to remember that the game is going to shift when the merge erupts. Savannah was annoyed that she had her water bottle, relax Savannah its serious, but it’s NOT that serious. Sage was spotting all the moves that Shannon was up to and clocking her 200 percent. She started to chatter with Alex and Steven spilling some tea on Shannon in the process.

Time to shake the game up, and a journey is underway with MC from Kele and Nate from the other tribe thanks to a sneaky move from Jawan. That is quite messed up for Jason who knew he needed an advantage in the game. Oh, I love this twist that both have to finish the task, or they both lose their votes. MC was not pleased to learn that Jason was voted out. Oh, Hina is going to strike back. Nate I’m sorry, but that’s stupid. If you can get the advantage, why would you not take advantage of it? It resulted with MC picking up on the fact that Nate might be up to something shady.

Sage spilled some serious tea that Rizo has an idol and that Sage knows all about the details and the inner workings of the Uli tribe. Sage is doing some serious work, so I like that. That was so hilarious to see Jawan sleeping when Savannah and Sophi were chatting. Savannah is one of the most annoying players I’ve seen in this game in years. She feels like she has to be in control of everything and it annoys the living hell out of me.

I hate to say this, but the Immunity Challenges are no longer entertaining at all to watch. It was fun to watch Kristina looking under the bench for a potential advantage. Close battle between Hina and Kele with Alex scoring that final basket sending Hina BACK to Tribal Council so will it be Jawan or Jason, because who else can be voted out? Wouldn’t it be fun to see someone like Savannah, Nate, Rizzo or Sophi getting the boot.

I really don’t know why “Survivor” shows this with chickens. Just give the players actual chicken wings or a chicken breast. We know it’s a part of life, but as a human being it is NOT something I want to see on the TV screen. You know the episode is bad, when we are watching a chicken being killed and eaten by the tribe who won the Immunity Challenge, versus potential strategy on the losing tribe with Hina. Yeah, Sophi has gone to every single TC since the game has started.

Oh, the Uli 5 are just thinking they can just control the game when the merge starts, and I don’t believe that is going to unfold, so I cannot wait to see when a Uli gets taken out of the game. Another dull Tribal Council, where nothing of intrigue has transpired. As expected, it was Jason who was sent packing. Two Hina taken out, so we shall expect to see Hina strike back at Uli during next week’s merge, and I’m all for it to be honest. Jason simply was tribe swapped in the worst possible fashion.

It doesn’t look like a merge next week, so I don’t know how much longer I can hang on. God willing, I will be back next week “Survivor” fanatics!
