Francisco Otilio Gaytan, 27, Benny LiconGomez, 27, and Eduardo Lopez, 21, all of Northridge were each charged with one felony count of murder and two felony counts of attempted second-degree robbery in case 25SFCF02393. Gaytan’s arraignment is set for January 7, 2026, in Department S of the San Fernando Valley Courthouse. His bail was set at $2,180,000. LiconGomez is scheduled to be arraigned on November 26, 2025, in the same location. LiconGomez is being held on $2,280,000 bail; and bail for Lopez was set at $2,205,000. Arraignment for Lopez will be scheduled at a later date.

Shortly before 1:25 a.m. on November 22, Gaytan, LiconGomez and Lopez allegedly approached a parked vehicle on Bryant Street near Tampa Avenue in Northridge, demanded money, then opened fire, striking all three occupants. Maria De La Rosa, 22, known professionally as DELAROSA, was fatally struck. The two other victims sustained critical injuries. Gaytan was arrested the same day and LiconGomez was arrested the next day. An arrest warrant has been issued for Lopez.

If convicted as charged, all defendants face life in state prison without the possibility of parole. The case is being prosecuted by Deputy District Attorneys Jennifer Jimenez and Celeste Sanchez and remains under investigation by the Los Angeles Police Department.

Authorities have not yet revealed the name of the person. Homicide detectives of the Los Angeles Police Department have been investigating the disappearance of the teen for months.

The LAPD have been able to use this social media data and the cell phone data of the singer D4vd, who is now a suspect, to determine that this second person visited the Hollywood Hills impound lot.

In addition, the authorities suspect that this person was in the vehicle, where the body of Celeste Rivas Hernandez was discovered. No arrests have been made in the case. The investigation is ongoing.

The Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) stated on its website they are aware of the recent stories posted by various media outlets about the D4vd/Celeste Rivas investigation and would like to dispel some misinformation contained in their reporting.

The body of Celeste Rivas was not frozen when it was discovered on September 8, 2025. She had not been decapitated. We have evidence that D4vd travelled to the Santa Barbara area sometime during Spring 2025. The reason for that trip is still under investigation and no conclusions at this point about the relevance of the trip to this case.

As far as the court order, the LAPD sought to seal the records of the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s investigation into Celeste Rivas’ death. That order was sought only to ensure detectives from Robbery-Homicide Division learned of important information surrounding her death before the media and the public. The order was not sought to undermine transparency.

No other information will be provided at this time, the LAPD stated.

Both ladies were recently in Las Vegas, Nevada as part of the cable network, Bravo, which celebrated BravoCon over the weekend. Both ladies were part of the celebration in Las Vegas that had a ton of celebrities from Bravo meeting with fans and chatting on panels about their series with Bravo figurehead, Andy Cohen.

TMZ reported that Kathy’s husband, Rick Hilton was inside their home at the time of the break-in and was not harmed. Authorities received a call at Stracke’s home on Saturday, November 15 after her dog walker noticed a broken kitchen window. No details on if any items were stolen have been reported.

It was reported that Kathy’s husband contacted 911 after realizing three burglars were inside the home. By the time cops arrived on the scene, the burglars were gone. Sutton Stracke has been a cast member on “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” since season 10.

Kathy Hilton has appeared as a friend on the series, as well as made countless appearances with her sisters Kim Richards and Kyle Richards on the show. Kathy’s daughters are Paris Hilton and Nicky Hilton.

Kim was a series regular from season one through season five and has made appearances since leaving as a full-time housewife. Kyle Richards has been a series regular on the series since it debuted in 2010.

The new season of “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills” premieres December 3 on Bravo.

For the upcoming 2026 ceremony, Lamar is nominated in the Record and Song of the Year categories for “luther,” while he competes in the Album of the Year race for “GNX.” Lamar has been nominated for the highest honor several times but has never won. Not far behind Lamar with nominations are Lady Gaga with seven nominations including Album of the Year for “Mayhem,” while her hit song “Abracadabra” earned nominations for Record and Song of the Year.

Bad Bunny earned 6 nominations including noms for Album, Song and Record of the Year as well. Also ranking in 6 nods was Sabrina Carpenter, who will also compete in the top categories of Album, Song and Record of the Year alongside Lamar, Lady Gaga and Bad Bunny.

Were there snubs. Of course, if they weren’t it wouldn’t be the Grammys. Not seeing much love was Miley Cyrus who was largely overlooked for her most recent album. Grammy winner Lorde didn’t see any love despite her dropping her fourth album, “Virgin” this year. Also overlooked were Gracie Abrams, The Weeknd and Megan Moroney.

The Dallas Cowboy team announced the tragic news.

“It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning. Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend, Catalina and his family.”

The NFL also sent out their condolences and offered counseling services for those in need of it.

Reports indicate that Kneeland was in the middle of his second season with the team recently scoring his first career touchdown in Monday night’s game (a loss) against the Cardinals. Kneeland notably recovered a blocked punt in the end zone.

Kneeland, who hails from Western Michigan was a second-round pick for the Cowboys (56th overall). He played in seven out of nine games this year. The 2024 rookie has made one sack, 15 tackles, and six QB pressures this season alone. He missed six games due to injuries.

Prior to being recruited by the Cowboys, he registered 149 total tackles and 12.5 sacks over three seasons with 2023 marking his best year with 57 tackles, 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.

Englund portrayed Freddy Krueger in all seven films in the franchise, as well as the 2003 flick “Freddy vs. Jason.” He was honored with his star surrounded by some of his survivors and victims from the “Nightmare on Elm Street” films. The ceremony was held in front of the Larry Edmunds Book Store at 6644 Hollywood Boulevard.

Englund’s co-star Heather Langenkamp, who portrayed Nancy in the 1984 original, as well as in “A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors” and “Wes Craven’s New Nightmare” spoke at the event, as well as writer/director Eli Roth. Englund received the 2,826th star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

“The Hollywood Chamber of Commerce is proud to welcome Robert Englund to the Hollywood Walk of Fame,” stated Ana Martinez, Walk of Fame producer. “I think the timing of having Robert’s star on Halloween is most fitting as Robert’s legacy is deeply entwined with the very spirit of Halloween. Fans and industry peers alike will gather to celebrate a performer whose iconic work continues to haunt and inspire audiences around the globe,” added Martinez.

Englund was born in Glendale, California and finished his education at the U.S. branch of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art at Oakland University in Detroit. He made his film debut in the 1974 film “Buster and Billie.”

Other notable films that the actor starred in included, “The Phantom of the Opera (1989), “The Mangler,” “Wishmaster,” “Urban Legend,” “Strangeland,” “The Funhouse Massacre” and will appear in the 2026 film “Pinocchio: Unstrung.” He also appeared in the Netflix series “Stranger Things.”

Lockhart also appeared on the series “Perry Mason.” Other notable roles for June included “Lost in Space,” “Full House,” and she appeared on the ABC soap opera “General Hospital” in the 80s and 90s.

Films that June appeared in during her career include, “It’s a Joke, Son!,” “Time Limit,” “Butterfly,” “Deadly Games,” “Strange Invaders,” “Troll,” “Lost in Space” and “Deterrence.” Other notable TV roles for the actress included appearances on “Knots Landing,” “Murder, She Wrote,” “The Colbys,” “Roseanne,” “Step by Step,” “Beverly Hills, 90210,” “The Drew Carey Show,” “Las Vegas,” “Grey’s Anatomy” and in the 2021 Netflix series “Lost in Space.”

June married John Maloney in 1951, with whom she shared 2 daughters Anne Kathleen and June Elizabeth. The couple divorced in 1959, and June later married architect John Lindsay that same year. She earned a Tony Award in 1948 for “For Love or Money.” June was nominated for two Emmy awards during her career, and she has 2 stars on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. FBI Director Kash Patel announced that it was an illegal gambling and sports operation that took place over 11 years, and they arrested a total of 31 people involved in wire fraud, money laundering, extortion, robbery, and illegal gambling.

“This FBI will leave no room for any perpetrator of crime across this country. You hear a lot about our work defending the homeland and crushing crime, well this work is also a representative of a colossal portion of the FBI’s mandate to keep America safe and to keep our entertainment industry fair and secure,” Patel said during the press conference. “The fraud is mind boggling…tens of millions of dollars in fraud, theft and robbery across a multi-year investigation.”

“Tens of millions of dollars in fraud and theft,” Patel stated during a news conference Thursday morning. “It takes courageous prosecutors courage to stand in front of you…we will not deny anyone due process,” Patel added. He added the gambling operation involves insider trading with the NBA.

U.S. Attorney Joseph Nocella, Jr. of the Eastern District of New York announced two indictments. The scheme was an insider sports betting conspiracy that spilled confidential details about basketball operations. The second indictment involved high-tech cheating devices in underground poker room games involving mob families from the Bonanno, Gambino, Genovese, and Lucchese crime families. He added during the press conference that the NBA did cooperate with the investigation, and that details of the case did not involve college basketball.

“As alleged, members and associates of organized crime families fixed illegal poker games as part of a highly sophisticated and lucrative fraud scheme to cheat victims out of millions of dollars and conspired with others to perpetrate their frauds,” stated United States Attorney Nocella.  “Well-known former NBA players and former professional athletes, acted as ‘Face Cards’ to lure unsuspecting victims to high-stakes poker games, where they were then at the mercy of concealed technology, including rigged shuffling machines and specially designed contacts lenses and sunglasses to read the backs of playing cards, which ensured that the victims would lose big.  Today’s indictment and arrests sounds the final buzzer for these cheaters.”

Billups has been the coach for the Portland Trail Blazers since 2021. He was drafted into the NBA in 1997 to the Boston Celtics as the third overall pick. He won an NBA Championship with the Detroit Pistons in 2004. He is a five-time all-star and an NBA Finals Most Valuable Player. He retired from the league in 2014.

Damon Jones, 49, played with the Cleveland Cavaliers during his time in the NBA league. Jones was arrested in Las Vegas, Nevada, Thursday morning. Former Miami Heat guard Terry Rozier, 31, was arrested Thursday morning in Orlando, Florida in connected to the case. Rozier played with the Charlotte Hornets and New Orleans Pelicans.

“Beginning as early as 2019, the defendants orchestrated a scheme to utilize wireless technology to rig,” Nocella, Jr. stated.

As alleged in the indictment, beginning as early as 2019, the defendants engaged in a series of schemes to use wireless cheating technology to rig illegal poker games (most commonly, Texas Hold’em) in the Eastern District of New York and across the United States.  Co-conspirators in the scheme included game organizers, who arranged for unwitting victims to play in underground illegal poker games that were secretly rigged; suppliers of the rigged cheating technology; former professional athletes, who were enlisted as “Face Cards” in the scheme to entice the victims’ participation in the games; cheating teams who worked together using the cheating technology to defraud the victims; money launderers; and members and associates of the Bonanno, Gambino, and Genovese organized crime families of LCN, who backed games in the New York area and took a percentage of the crime proceeds from those games.

LCN members and associates had a foothold in the rigged poker scheme because they had preexisting control over “straight” (i.e., non-rigged) illegal poker games in New York City, where some of the rigged poker games also occurred: one that was hosted principally at Lexington Avenue in Manhattan, that was on record with the Bonanno family (the “Lexington Avenue Game”); and a second that was hosted principally at Washington Place in Manhattan, that was on record with the Gambino family (the “Washington Place Game”).  As part of the schemes, some of the charged defendants and other co-conspirators also committed acts of violence, including the robbery and extortions charged in the indictment.

The defendants utilized off the shelf shuffling machines to read the cards off the deck and predict which players had the best poker hands and relayed that information to the off-site operator. That information was given to the quarterback and that information was given to others at the table to win their games and to cheat the victims.

“Using the allure of high-stakes winnings and the promise to play alongside well-known professional athletes, these defendants allegedly defrauded unwitting victims out of tens of millions of dollars and established a financial pipeline to La Cosa Nostra,” stated FBI Assistant Director in Charge Raia.  “This alleged scheme wreaked havoc across the nation, exploiting the notoriety of some and the wallets of others to finance the Italian crime families. Our office maintains its aggressive pursuit of any Italian organized crime operating in our jurisdiction and will continue to stem all unlawful revenue streams fueling their illicit activity.”

As alleged, members of the conspiracy fulfilled different roles to ensure the schemes’ success.  The defendants Tony Goodson, Shane Hennen, Curtis Meeks, and Robert Stroud supplied the cheating technology.  The defendants Ammar Awawdeh, Saul Becher, John Gallo, Zhen Hu, Stroud, and Seth Trustman organized the rigged games.  Members of the cheating teams included the defendants Nelson Alvarez, Louis Apicella, Chauncey Billups, Eric Earnest, Marco Garzon, Jamie Gilet, Tony Goodson, Kenny Han, Hennen, Horatio Hu, Damon Jones, John Mazzola, Nicholas Minucci, Michael Renzulli, Angelo Ruggiero, Jr., Stroud, Trustman, and Sophia Wei.

In addition, the defendant Anthony Shnayderman, among others, laundered the proceeds of the schemes.  Game organizers sometimes directed victims to send money via bank wires to shell companies controlled by Shnayderman, who then transferred money (either in cash or cryptocurrency), less a money laundering fee, back to the game organizers.

The charges in the indictments are allegations, and the defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty.

“The Drew Barrymore Show” walked away with three Daytime Emmy Awards including Outstanding Daytime Talk Series Host,” while “Live with Kelly and Mark” won for Outstanding Daytime Talk Series. Outstanding Entertainment Talk Series went to “Entertainment Tonight,” while Outstanding Culinary Instructional Series was a win for “Delicious Miss Brown.”

When it comes to the acting categories, Nancy Lee Grahn won for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series for her work as Alexis Davis on “General Hospital.” Oh, Grahn chewed up the small screen with the material given to her in relation to the death of her daughter Sam McCall. Paul Telfer won his first Emmy for Outstanding Lead Performance by an Actor in a Daytime Series for his work as Xander Kiriakis in “Days of Our Lives.”

In the Supporting races, it was Susan Walters who won the Emmy for her role as Diane Jenkins Abbott on “The Young and the Restless,” while Jonathan Jackson added another Daytime Emmy Award to his mantle in the Supporting Actor race for his work on “General Hospital” as Lucky Spencer. It may have been short, but when has Jackson not delivered a knockout performance soap opera fans.

Lisa Yamada took home the award in the newest category Outstanding Emerging Talent in a Daytime Drama Series for her work as Luna Nozawa on “The Bold and the Beautiful.” It is a simplified version of what used to be the prize for the younger actor and actresses in Daytime Drama Series. Alley Mills won the prize for Outstanding Guest Performance in Daytime Drama Series for her work as Heather Webber on “General Hospital.”

The sad thing is once again this awards ceremony that was once a staple on TV wasn’t even heavily promoted, so guess what: a lot of people had no idea it happened. However, you may be surprised how many people actually watch Daytime TV, a lot more than you actually suspect. The 52 Annual Daytime Emmy Awards are in the books; the question now starts on who may reign supreme in 2026.

“The shining star of our family has dimmed his light for us in this life … After a prolonged and courageous battle with cancer, we are heartbroken to announce that Michael D’Angelo Archer, known to his fans around the world as D’Angelo, has been called home, departing this life today, October 14, 2025. We are saddened that he can only leave dear memories with his family, but we are eternally grateful for the legacy of extraordinarily moving music he leaves behind.

Regardless, music was in his soul. His brother, Luther, publicly told many that he came home from school one day to find D’Angelo playing a song on the piano. He wasn’t just “banging” he first told Rolling Stones, he could play, and he was only three years old.

D’Angelo wrote his own music that some musicians referred to as being part of the “Neo-Soul” movement. He was about 21 years old, when he co-wrote and co-produced his own single, “U Will Know” by his supergroup, Black Men United, in 1995.

Some of his other hits included: “Lady,” “Cruisin,” “Nothing Even Matters,” and “How Does It Feel.” His albums include Brown Sugar, Voodoo, and Black Messiah.

Reports indicate that 300,000 copies of Brown Sugar were sold in the first two months following its release in 1995. It spent 65 weeks on Billboard 200 and went platinum in 1996.

Voodoo was released in 2000. Music critics revered this album as, “A Masterpiece,” and calling it D’ Angelo’s “Greatest Work.” The album debuted at number one on the Billboard charts. 320,000 copies were sold in the first week.

D’Angelo and the Recording engineer, Russell Elvevado, earned a Grammy at the 43rd Grammy Awards for the best R and B album. The Executive Producer and Manager at the time was Dominique Trenier.

The album Black Messiah was released in December 2014. This was D’Angelo’s final album. 117,000 copies were sold in the U.S during the second week of sales. Several thousand more copies were sold in the UK.

Billboard named D’Angelo one of the greatest R and B artists. Rolling Stones magazine ranked him 75 on a list of 200 greatest singers of all time.

It was D’Angelo’s struggles with drugs and alcohol that prevented him from producing more. In recent months, the R and B great let it be known that his hope would be not to be remembered by the struggle, but by the gift of music that he gave to the world.

TMZ reported that the Los Angeles Fire Department were called to Keaton’s Brentwood property shortly after 8 a.m. and she was taken via ambulance to a local hospital. No additional details or cause of death has been disclosed to the public.

Keaton grew to fame as a notable producer, actress and director in Hollywood. Keaton was born in Los Angeles, CA in January 1946. She got her start on Broadway in 1968 in “Hair.” That role later parlayed Keaton to a role in “Play It Again, Sam,” a production by director Woody Allen that earned the actress a Tony Award nomination for Best Featured Actress in a Play.

Her breakout film role was in 1972’s “The Godfather” which she starred alongside Al Pacino, Marlon Brando, Talia Shire and James Caan. The drama went on to earn 10 Oscar nominations, winning three awards including Best Picture, Best Actor and Best Adapted Screenplay. Keaton reprised her role in the 1974 sequel, “The Godfather Part II.”

In 1977, Keaton starred in the Woody Allen comedy, “Annie Hall” where she won the Academy Award for Best Actress. Other films Keaton starred in included, “Reds,” “Marvin’s Room,”  “Crimes of the Heart,” “Father of the Bride,” “Father of the Bride Part II,” “The First Wives Club,” “Something’s Gotta Give,” “The Family Stone,” “Morning Glory,” “Book Club” and “Book Club: The Next Chapter.”

Some of her co-stars throughout her illustrious career include Bette Midler, Steve Martin, Martin Short, Goldie Hawn, Warren Beatty, Jack Nicholson, Frances McDormand, Queen Latifah, Katie Holmes, Harrison Ford, Jane Fonda, Candice Bergen and Mary Steenburgen. Keaton during her lifetime dated actor/director Woody Allen, Al Pacino and Warren Beatty. The actress never married, but adopted two children, Dexter, 29 and Duke 25 in her 50s.

Keaton was also nominated for a Best Actress Oscar for her work in “Marvin’s Room,” “Something’s Gotta Give” and “Reds.” She won two Golden Globes during her career, one for “Annie Hall” and another for “Something’s Gotta Give.” She was also nominated for a Primetime Emmy Award in 1995.

Keaton’s “The First Wives Club” co-star Bette Midler posted on Instagram:

“The brilliant, beautiful, extraordinary Diane Keaton has died. I cannot tell you how unbearably sad this makes me. She was hilarious, a complete original, and completely without guile, or any of the competitiveness one would have expected from such a star. What you saw was who she was…oh, la, lala!”

Actor Steve Martin responded to a post from Interview Magazine on Instagram writing:

“Don’t know who first posted this, but it sums up our delightful relationship with Diane.”

Director Paul Feig posted on X, “I was so honored to call Diane Keaton a friend. She was an amazingly kind and creative person who also just happened to be a Hollywood legend. She has been taken from us far too soon. We will miss you, Diane.”

The tiger reportedly attacked Easley around his neck and head causing fatal injuries. According to Choctaw County Sheriff’s Department, Easley was dead when Sheriff’s deputies arrived on the scene.

Prowler Pines Tiger Preserve made an initial statement on their Facebook page confirming the death of Easley died in what they called, an “accident, involving a tiger under his care.”

Ryan Easley was an associate of Joseph Maldonado, also known as, “The Tiger King,” who is currently serving prison time for unrelated charges.  Reports indicate that Easley may have obtained some of The Tiger Kings tigers in Maldonado’s care following his imprisonment. That has not been confirmed by Canyon News.

Prowler Pines Tiger Preserve is located in the Red River Valley in Southeastern Oklahoma, close to the Texas border. The following message on their website:

“Due to unforeseen circumstances, all tours have been postponed. All tickets will be refunded.”

The non-government operation (NGO) “Protect All Wildlife” made a statement they posted on their X social media page:

“Keeping wild animals in captivity and forcing them to perform for human amusement is as far from the natural world as they can get, and using wild animals for entertainment is dangerous and wrong for everyone involved.”

The People for Ethical Treatment of Animals (PETA) made a statement on their X Social media site as well, accusing Easley of hurting the tigers he loved. Easley is not here to defend himself against those accusations. Canyon News is not reporting that the tiger trainer hurt the animals in any way. The statement from PETA is below:

“Tiger abuser Ryan Easley was fatally attacked by a tiger during a show in front of his family and onlookers. When wild animals are caged, beaten, and denied freedom, tragedy is inevitable. This cycle of suffering must end.”

Canyon News reached out to the Prowler Pines Tiger Preserve for a statement but did not hear back in time for print.
