WOODLAND HILLS—On December 4, at 7:34 a.m., a fire was reported at 6320 N. Canoga Avenue. Multiple units from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded to the call. Initial reports indicate that an electric fire broke out on the 10th floor of the 17-story building.
No smoke/flames were visible from the street. Firefighters took the stairs to the 10th floor. According to the LAFD/Alert page, a knockdown was declared approximately 30 minutes after LAFD’s arrival.
Three individuals who worked in the building were transported to an area hospital with significant burns. They were all in serious condition.
At 9:45 a.m. LAFD personnel gave an update to notify the public that the fire was extinguished. OSHA was notified since this was a work-related fire. Firefighters and one engine remained on the scene to monitor the smoke/air monitoring, assess the damage, and ensure public safety.
