MALIBU—The city of Malibu posted on its Facebook page that Heal the Bay will be hosting the 36th Annual Coastal Cleanup Day on Saturday, September 20.

For 2025, the city of Malibu is partnering in the global effort. Coastal Cleanup Day is an International Day of Action to protect oceans, watersheds, and wildlife from debris and plastic pollution.

The event will transpire from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Surfrider Beach (Tower 2) — located at 23200 Pacific Coast Highway.

There will be over 70 cleanup sites across Los Angeles County.

Learn how to lead your own cleanup with the support of Heal the Bay. The Coastal Cleanup Day (CCD) Site Captain Training is designed to teach individuals everything they need to know about Coastal Cleanup Day, to ensure all are well prepared to serve as leaders for their CCD site.
