Woodland Hills Structure Fire Contained

WOODLAND HILLS—On December 4, at 7:34 a.m., a fire was reported at 6320 N. Canoga Avenue. Multiple units from the Los Angeles Fire Department (LAFD) responded to the call. Initial reports indicate that an electric fire broke out on the 10th floor of the 17-story building.

No smoke/flames were visible from the street. Firefighters took the stairs to the 10th floor. According to the LAFD/Alert page, a knockdown was declared approximately 30 minutes after LAFD’s arrival.

Three individuals who worked in the building were transported to an area hospital with significant burns. They were all in serious condition.

At 9:45 a.m. LAFD personnel gave an update to notify the public that the fire was extinguished. OSHA was notified since this was a work-related fire. Firefighters and one engine remained on the scene to monitor the smoke/air monitoring, assess the damage, and ensure public safety.

Afghan Nationals Charged For Crimes On US Soil

WASHINGTON DC—On December 2, the U.S. Department of Justice announced in a press release announcing federal charges filed against, Mohammad Dawood Alokozay, 30, an Afghan National who was residing in Fort Worth, TX.

Alokozay faces 5 years in prison if convicted after threatening to build a bomb and conduct a suicide attack that would kill Americans. He posted a video on social media sites including Facebook, X and TikTok, stating his intent, describing how he would carry out his task.

The DOJ posted the video that depicted an angry Alokozay speaking in his native language (Dari) while engaged with two others who were also on the call. Alokozay spoke of his devotion to the Taliban, to the others on the phone, admitting that his purpose for being in the United States was to kill them, with a suicide attack.

According to the DOJ complaint, he stated that he was not afraid to die. U.S. Attorney General, Pam Bondi, made the following statement regarding this arrest:

“This Afghan national came into America during the Biden administration and is alleged, explicitly stated that he came here in order to kill American citizens.

The public safety threat created by the Biden administration’s vetting breakdown cannot be overstated. The Department of Justice will continue working with our federal and state partners to protect the American people from the prior administration’s dangerous incompetence.”

Alokozay is currently in police custody pending his initial appearance before the U.S. magistrate.

This investigation was conducted by the FBI’s Field Office in Dallas, TX, in conjunction with the Department of Homeland Security, and assistance from the Texas Department of Public Safety and the Fort Worth Police Department. Assistant U.S. Attorney, Vincent Mazzurco of the Northern District of Texas is prosecuting the case.

The Trump administration is blaming the Biden administration for the numerous attacks from within by Afghan Nationals. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the reign of former President Joe Biden agreed to resettle “Afghan allies,” into the United States.

There are photographs of Afghan evacuees packed into a Boeing jet traveling from Afghanistan to the United States. Reports indicate that that shooter of the U.S. National Guard soldiers in Washington D.C. that happened the day before Thanksgiving, came into the U.S. during that Biden-era program in 2021.

Democrat leaders are suggesting the U.S. promised to protect their Afghan allies. Republicans disagree. Alokozay’s attorney is pleading not guilty on behalf of his client indicating that Alokozay, who was once reportedly a trusted CIA operative in Afghanistan who is now suffering from PTSD.

On December 1, a makeshift memorial for the two National Guardsman who were gunned down while deployed in Washington D.C. to help restore order in the nation’s Capital.

SMMUSD Vote To Separate Into Two School Districts

SANTA MONICA—On Tuesday, December 2, the Malibu Education Foundation announced that the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD) voted unanimously in support of Malibu becoming its own entity, Malibu Independent School District.

The SMMUSD held a special Board of Education meeting on Monday, December 1, from 5-8 p.m. at the SMMUSD District Office located at 1717 4th Street in Santa Monica.

The purpose of the meeting was to come to an agreement on three key elements; financial, operational, and the governing framework needed to separate the two currently adjoined school districts. The Malibu meeting is scheduled for after the SMMUSD meeting.

According to the city of Malibu, the three governments include Property Tax Revenue Sharing Agreement, outlining how property tax revenues will be allocated; the Operational Transfer Agreement, which details the transition of staffing each facility involved, services, Joint Powers Agreement, and shared oversight during the transition.

Santa Monica and Malibu leadership both publicly shared interest in two separate, quality school districts.

Both pros and cons have been posted on X and other social media sites. Posts and accusations that the schools are participating in “segregation in 2025,” have been unfounded thus far.

“The Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD) and the City of Malibu are advancing a major milestone in the effort to create two independent school districts; the Malibu Unified School District (MUSD) and the Santa Monica Unified School District (SMUSD). Both SMMMUSD and the City of Malibu remain committed to equity, fairness and ensuring high-quality education for students in both future districts.”

The proposal to separate Santa Monica and Malibu into two separate school districts was passed in late November.

Rehab Facilities On Ocean Avenue Fail Inspections

SANTA MONICA—On Tuesday, November 25, city officials were informed after suspicious activity was reported at a rehabilitation facility located at 413 Ocean Avenue. Multiple calls regarding vans of people dropped off at the facility in the dark of night raising public concern.

On Friday, 11/28, our city team – Building and Safety, Code Enforcement, Fire and Housing conducted a full inspection of 413 Ocean Ave after community concerns were raised. Due to public demand, the building was inspected and did not meet code. Multiple reports indicate that the sober living facility was at the very least operating without a license.

The facility has since been ordered to relocate their patients and were ordered to vacate the premises within 24 hours.

Reports indicate that people were coming in from out of state under the guise of rehabilitation. Concerned residents have publicly accused the state of allowing these pop-up drug and rehabilitation centers to conduct business without verifying their credentials. The patients are lured in while they are at their most vulnerable. Their insurance is charged for their “services.”

Public records indicate that the business located at 413 Ocean Avenue operated as a sobriety clinic.

They did not have the proper business license to operate a housing facility of this nature. Nor were they in receipt of the proper permits needed.

There was no certificate of occupancy.

City officials rendered the site unsafe and unpermitted for its current operation.

The operator of the business was reportedly directed to cease all activity until compliance standards were met. Initially, this did not happen. The premises have since been vacated.

Los Angeles County Supervisor, Lindsey Horvath previously ordered the termination of two rehabilitation centers; the sobriety living facility mentioned here, and a similar facility located at 825 Ocean Avenue. Both were initially part of a project to provide beds for those experiencing homelessness complicated by addiction and behavioral issues.

These are the same places earmarked for rehab that Santa Monicans complained about in the beginning. Many spoke out against the use of some of the most expensive properties in Santa Monica as a rehabilitation and homeless project.

Horvath ordered those in charge of operations to find a more suitable dwelling place.

Santa Monica Mayor, Lana Negrete, responded to the state’s findings.

“These are not allegations. These are the City’s documented findings. People deserve dignity, stability, and real oversight. Policy reforms are already in motion to prevent this from happening again.”

Great Results From Malibu’s Rain Barrel Project

MALIBU—On November 24, the city of Malibu Department of Development reported that the Free Rain Barrel project was a success. A total of 150 Free Rain Barrels were given away to 89 families. The water conservation project was a joint effort with the West Basin Municipal Water District.

According to the West Basin Municipal Water District newsletter, the Free Rain Barrel giveaway provides 1,500 free rain barrels annually which has the potential to save 650 gallons of water per year. The rainwater collected is not intended for human consumption. Its for keeping the lawn and gardens watered without having to turn on the faucet. It saves water, and it saves families money by lowering their water bills.

The gift of a free water barrel saved the recipients the additional cost of the barrels. Rain barrels from local hardware stores can cost anywhere from $60-$135 each.

Under California Governor Gavin Newsom, the state has endured water shortages, and water rationing in recent years leaving some fire hydrants at risk of running dry.

As the Los Angeles Fire Department continues to remind people, keeping the land moist and rid of debris lowers the risks of more wildfires in the state.

Legendary Reggae Artist, Jimmy Cliff, Passes Away

KINGSTON, JAMAICA—On November 24, Latifa, the wife of James Chambers, announced that her husband, better known as the Jamaican-born, legendary reggae artist, Jimmy Cliff, passed away. He was 81.

“It’s with profound sadness that I share that my husband, Jimmy Cliff, has crossed over due to a seizure followed by pneumonia. I am thankful for his family, friends, fellow artists and coworkers who have shared his journey with him.

To all his fans around the world, please know that your support was his strength throughout his whole career. He really appreciated each-and-every fan for their love. I also wanted to thank Dr. Couceyro, and the whole medical staff, as they have been extremely supportive and helpful during this difficult process. Jimmy, my darling, may you rest in peace. I will follow your wishes.

With only one midwife tending to the entire village, a mother gives birth to a child, wraps him in a sheet, and takes him to shelter at a neighbor’s home as the hurricane blows her house away.

However, everybody agrees, ‘There’s something special about his boy.’

He becomes famous by the age of 14 for a hit coincidentally entitled, ‘Hurricane Hattie.” He goes on to popularize reggae music everywhere and changes the world….” He worked with another music legend, the great, Stevie Wonder, to accomplish the re-popularization of Reggae.

Some may have known his music before they knew his name, singing along with, “I Can See Clearly Now,” “Wonderful World, Beautiful People.” Others still may remember hearing, “I can See Clearly Now,” for the first time when watching the movie about the Jamaican bobsled team, “Cool Runnings,” starring, Leon, Doug E. Doug, Rawle D. Lewis, Malik Yoba, and John Candy.

Jimmy Cliff received his country’s highest honor, “The Order of Merit.” He also is one of the two Jamaican’s to be inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.

As an artist, he was sought out to work in collaboration with fellow Jamaican, Bob Marley, and with the Rolling Stones, Paul Simon, Elvis Costillo, Annie Lennox, Willie Nelson, Cher, Bruce Springsteen, New Order, and Fiona Apple.

He was also involved in the making of “Vietnam,” with Bob Dylan, in what has been referred to by many as, “The Greatest Protest Song Ever Written.”

Disney fans may remember him, as the voice, of the lead vocalist in the reggae version of “Hakuna Matata.”

A good-bye message is not suitable for a musician such as this. His body may have given out, but his music lives on for his fans who will enjoy his music for years to come.

Jimmy Kimmel Slanders President Trump On Live TV

HOLLYWOOD—On November 20, President Trump renewed his request to have liberal talk show host, Jimmy Kimmel taken off the air after the comedian made disparaging remarks about the President and the late Jefferey Epstein who reportedly committed suicide in jail after being convicted of sex trafficking.

Jimmy Kimmel, who became famous for leaving his audience rhetorically saying, “I can’t believe he said that,” could have a libel suit filed against him for slander.

“Thank you for joining us here at our home quarters of Hollywood where we are carefully following the path of hurricane Epstein right now. It is category five right now. It is expected to make landfall very soon. We are now one step closer to finding out what the President knew and how old were the women when he knew it.

Yesterday, both the House and Senate voted to release the long-withheld files of a man who considered himself to be Trump’s closest friend for close to a decade, the late sex criminal, Jefferey Epstein. The vote in Congress was 427-1. It was such a landside, Trump might be able to rebury the Epstein files under it….,” Kimmel stated.

Trump who began advocating the release of the Epstein files in his 2024 Presidential campaign, responded to Kimmel’s slander.

“Jimmy Kimmel is the perfect example of Democrats;” Trump retorted. “No talent. No ratings. No audience. Bust somehow, still, kept alive by fake news corporations who lost touch with America years ago.” And most recently Trump asked why Kimmel has been kept so long.

“Why does ABC Fake News keep Jimmy Kimmel, a man with no talent, and very poor television ratings on the air?”

Jimmy Kimmel continued the banter without apology. “I’ll go when you go, okay? We’ll be a team. Let’s ride off into the sunset together like Butch Cassidy and the suntan kid…”

Kimmel was just recently allowed back on the air after making crude comments about the late Christian commentator, Charlie Kirk who was assassinated at a speaking engagement at, Utah Valley University in Orem, Utah.

Funerals and memorials were still taking place across the country when the talk show host made the following statement on Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“The MAGA (Make America Great Again) gang is desperately trying to characterize this kid who murdered Charlie Kirk as anything other than one of them and doing everything they can to score political points from it.”

Kimmel was briefly taken off the air after that. Some live stream stations canceled Jimmy Kimmel Live after that.

Three In Custody Following Hour-Long Pursuit

BEVERLY HILLS—On November 13, Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) started an hour-long pursuit of a possible silver Ford Fusion near Wilshire Boulevard and Trenton Drive in Beverly Hills. According to reports, the driver and two passengers took the car from their mother without permission, taking police on a chase through West Lake, through multiple cities including Sherman Oaks and traveling onto the 405 Freeway in the San Fernando Valley.

SkyFox obtained video footage of the teens while they were still in Korea Town. Family members driving a white Dodge Durango joined the chase. The teens were traveling the wrong way into heavy traffic and were stopped once they hit a curb at Hesperia and Vanowen Street crashing into the intersection in Reseda.

The driver entered the northbound 405 Freeway in West LA, at times passing traffic on the shoulder of the road and in the emergency vehicle lane. In the San Fernando Valley, the car traveled the wrong way in heavy traffic on Vanowen Street near Sepulveda Boulevard.

A white SUV appeared to follow the Ford after it exited a parking lot. Details about the SUV’s connection to the people in the pursuit car were not immediately available. The Ford jumped a curb and crashed at a Reseda intersection. At least two people ran from the car as the SUV stopped nearby.

Two of the teens jumped out of the car after the crash and attempted to flee on foot. Moments later, all three were in police custody. No further information, or names of the suspects have been released to the public.

US Marshals Intervene In Immigrant Manslaughter Case

ST. LUCIE, FL—On November 13, Indian National, Harjinder Singh, who has been charged with three counts of vehicular manslaughter in St. Lucie County, Florida, appeared virtually before the St. Lucie County Judge for a routine docket call. Singh was zooming in for the proceedings from St. Lucie County Jail where he has been since his arrest on August 16, in Stockton, California.

According to an August 19 press release issued by the U.S. Marshal’s Office, Singh, “allegedly operating a semi-truck that attempted to make a U-Turn and crossed directly in front of a vehicle, causing the vehicle to crash into the trailer and killing three people in the vehicle. The crash happened on Florida’s turnpike in St. Lucie County August 12, 2025.”

The following came directly from the press release on the DHS website.

“Video obtained from Breaking 911 from inside the tractor trailer shows the exact moment Singh decided to break U.S. highway laws as he turned his truck into traffic – his face shows no shock or remorse for his actions or the lives he destroyed”.

Florida Governor, Ron DeSantis, and President Trump have both called out the authorities who have repeatedly granted a license to this individual who entered the country illegally and has a history of serious motor vehicle infractions on his record.

In 2019, he was reportedly responsible for a bridge collapse in Yell County, Arkansas after he drove over a bridge in a truck that exceeded the weight limit of the bridge by 64,000 lbs. Singh received a citation and was released without bail.

Reports indicate that Singh has obtained his CDL license in multiple states including California.

The following came directly from the press release of the U.S. Marshal’s office.
“An investigation revealed Singh and his passenger, Harneet Singh, flew to Sacramento, California, August 13. An arrest warrant was issued August 15. He allegedly entered the United States illegally in 2018 and obtained a California Commercial Driver’s License.
U.S. Marshals received the warrant and associated information from FHP August 16, and collateral lead was sent to the Eastern District of California. U.S. Marshals and Task Force Officers responded to an address associated with Singh in Stockton. They identified Singh as the lone occupant of a vehicle that arrived during surveillance of the location.
Singh was taken into custody without incident. He was booked at the San Joaquin County Jail to await initial appearance. An immigration detainer was also filed on behalf of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.”

The U.S. Attorney General, Pam Bondi issued the following statement.
“Our great Director of the U.S. Marshal Service(USMS), Gadayces Serralta, has worked incredibly hard to support the Florida Highway Patrol and apprehend this dangerous illegal alien whowill now face justice. Sanctuary states like California must end their lawless policies to protect innocent American lives.”

Serralta stated that, “This priority effort was a cross-country, multi-state, and multi-agency success. This again proves our dedication to bring criminals to justice for what they have done no matter where they run.”

The Government Shutdown Comes To An End

WASHINGTON DC—On Wednesday, November 12, President Donald Trump signed legislation ending the longest government shutdown in U.S. history. The shutdown began on October 1st. The 43-day shutdown wreaked havoc on government funded entities, and withheld funding for programs that effecting veterans, and welfare recipient’s dependent upon government funding.

On Monday, November 10, the U.S. senate voted 60-40 to pass a clean U.S. spending bill to reopen the government through January 30. The vote then passed the House of Representatives on Wednesday and was then signed by President Trump.

The funding of the shutdown coincided with the time frame to budget for The Affordable Care Act, also known as, Obama Care, it was initially initiated during the Obama Administration by then President Barack Obama. The Affordable Care Act was to be a remedy for those who could not afford the rising cost of health insurance, low-cost insurance-for-all. It was also supposed to eventually pay for itself.

Reports indicate that the cost of Obama Care is expected to rise exponentially, and members of the Democratic party wanted the U.S. Government to fund the cost. Republicans refused. This was not a bill about Obama Care. The problem at hand was passing a clean bill they could all agree on and getting the government funded again.

After 39-days of the shutdown, Senator Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) reminded Democrat leaders how The Affordable Care Act failed the American people.

“You were promised when Obamacare passed in 2010, President Obama said that every family in America who participated in this thing would have a $2,500 savings in premium reduction. It’s been like a 100 percent increase. This thing is unsustainable.”

Republican Minority Leader, Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY) would not vote in favor of passing a bill that did not include his agenda (Obama Care) in it. The Democratic party was holding out to secure permanent funding of Obama Care.

Senate Majority Leader, John Thune (R-S.D.) kept the Republicans promise to table the discussion on the Affordable Care Act until December. Obama Care was not included in the spending bill that just passed to fund the government.

The main objection from Republicans has been that Obama Care is funding unvetted, undocumented immigrants. The majority wants an affordable healthcare plan for U.S. citizens.

President Trump and Representatives from the Republican party want a bill that will permanently fund U.S. Veterans and family’s dependent upon SNAP benefits to feed their families. The following Statement came from the White House webpage

Protesters Disrupt TPUSA Event At UC Berkeley

BERKELEY—On November 10, violent protests broke out at a Turning Point USA (TPUSA) event held on the UC campus. The event was held on the two-month anniversary of the TPUSA’s founder, Charlie Kirk, drawing close to 2,000 people. Some agitators were there disrupting everything while the rest of the people were there mourning and celebrating the life and legacy of Charlie Kirk.

Protesters, and ANTIFA members set fires, robbed and assaulted people around Zellerbach Hall on the Berkeley campus, leading to the arrest of at least six.

TPUSA spokesperson, Andrew Kolvet posted about the event on his X social media page.

“Despite Antifa thugs blocking our campus tour stop with tear gas, fireworks, and glass bottles, we had a packed house in the heart of dep blue UC Berkeley. God bless these brave students,” signed “For Charlie.”

Reports indicate that Muslim rapper, and far-left extremist, Jihad Dphrepaulezz, also known as, “A.R. The Believer,” of Oakland, was arrested after severely beating and robbing a TPUSA supporter. Dphrepaulezz reportedly grabbed a chain necklace off an attendee, starting a fight that left a Charlie Kirk supporter, covered in blood.

Frontlines TPUSA caught the altercation on video.

On his linkedin account, Dphrepaulezz falsely claimed that he was employed by the California Department of Public Health.

Unverified reports indicate that the singer, Xavier Dphrepaulezz, aka, “Fantastic Negrito,” from Oakland is the uncle of Jihad Dphrepaulezz.

Mark Smith, the Information Officer II of the California Department of Public Health refuted this claim with the following statement.

“Violence and hate have no place in our communities. The California
Department of Public Health (CDPH) remains committed to serving all
Californians with integrity, respect, and a deep commitment to public
health and safety.

We are aware of reports circulating online regarding an individual who
was involved in an altercation at a recent event at UC Berkeley and
claims that this person is an employee of CDPH. We have no employment
record for an individual with that name.”

A former USC student, Jay Eduardo Maytorrena, 22, was arrested for trespassing and resisting arrest/obstructing an officer.

Christopher Joseph Benton, 48, who was not affiliated with USC, was arrested for having an unlawful presence on campus and resisting arrest/obstructing an officer.

In addition four unnamed women, were also arrested for felony vandalism.

Convicted Murderer Arrested In LA County

LOS ANGELES—On November 11, news reports began to circulate regarding the November 4, Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) arrest of a Moldovan National who has been residing in the U.S. illegally for over a decade after being convicted of murder. Victoria Sorocean, was taken into custody once ICE learned of her where abouts. She was convicted in 2013 of premeditated murder with exceptional cruelty.

In a November 11, press release the U.S. Department of Homeland Security wrote the following.

“In September2013, Sorocean and an accomplice were convicted of intentional murder. She was sentenced to 17 years in prison. Sorocean, and an accomplice tortured their victim in an apartment in Chisinau, Moldova. They beat the victim with a stick and electrical cable before throwing the victim out a ninth-floor window.”

DHS continued, “Sorocean fled the United States under the first Trump Administration. ICE arrested her on January 10, 2020.” Following her arrest, Sorocean filed multiple appeals with the Board of Immigration Appeals under the guise of an asylum seeker.

In 2022, Sorocean was released back into the country under the Biden Administration.

Tricia McLaughlin, the Assistant Secretary for Public Affairs, issued the following statement.

These are the types of barbaric criminal illegal aliens ICE is targeting every single day. 70 percent of all ICE arrests are of illegal aliens charged or convicted of crime in the U.S. This does not even include foreign fugitives like this convicted murderer. Under President Trump and Secretary Noem, the world’s criminals are no longer welcome in the U.S.”

Sorocean is to remain in ICE custody until deportation proceedings begin.

Immigration and Customs Enforcement and Removal have faced challenges in Los Angeles County. California Attorney General Rob Bonta, Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass, and California Governor Gavin Newsom have taken issue the presence of ICE agents in Los Angeles County, and with President Trump using the U.S. Army National Guard for crowd control while Immigration and Customs agents execute active warrants in the area.

AG Bonta, Governor Newsom, for attempting to evacuate undocumented people with criminal records who are residing in Los Angeles County illegally.

Bonta, Newsom, and Bass have vowed to fight President Trump to the Supreme Court to offer protections for immigrants like Victoria Sorocean.

The Effect Mold Spores Have On The Body

BEVERLY HILLS—It is November 10, 2025, and it is time to learn the truth about mold. U.S. residents usually fight mold in their own ways, perhaps with common cleaning agents such as bleach if they spot some dark spots in the bathroom, kitchen, basement… But seldom do we hear about the mold spores lurking in or around us that we do not see but have a tremendous negative impact on our bodies.

In 2018, I met one of the most vibrant, active young women I have ever met. She was born and raised in Southern California in an upscale community somewhere near Hollywood Hills. Unfortunately, she lived there with a silent killer—mold.

It wasn’t something she could see and wash away. It was being piped in possibly through her plumbing or air conditioning in the well-to-do rental unit she resided in. She became very sick with symptoms akin to motion sickness, and vertigo. Once a runner, and a musician, she was now bedridden, reading, and riding in a car made her sick, walking took too much energy.

A year later in San Angelo, Texas, an arid place that sees little rain, I met a woman (a friend of a friend) whose body too, was plagued with mold.

Today, meeting someone that lives with mold toxicity may seem rare. In 2017, Dr. Scott McMahon, was quoted in a newsletter by “REALTIME, A US Bio Tek Laboratory” in an article entitled “Mold Statistics and Facts.”

“Most doctors do not have the training to identify mold illnesses. Possibly every doctor in the United States is treating mold illnesses, and they don’t realize it.”

On April 25, Dr. Roca at PALM Health reported the following.

“The real trouble comes when spores find patches of moisture and grow into mold that produces toxins. The more you are exposed to these mycotoxins, the more your health is threatened, for example, if it grows in your home or your office building. There are approximately five to ten million people in the US walking around with mold toxicity at any given time.”

The symptoms include but are not limited to fatigue, never-ending headaches, brain fog, and continuous musculoskeletal pain.

On October 28, tiny health reported that, “Mold produces spores to reproduce, so a common way to be exposed is through these mold spores. When this occurs, mycotoxins are likely to affect your lungs, bloodstream, immune system, and even your brain.”

Reports indicate this too can affect the gut, causing its own set of problems. People who are experiencing daily exposure to mold may have been diagnosed with asthma.

Others are beyond that and live with chronic pulmonary disease (COPD) and require oxygen. There are some patients on mycotoxin treatments, and immune therapy treatments to help ease the symptoms.

Biocide Labs reports that many patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis Inflammation, Lupus, Histoplasmosis, COPD, Lyme Disease, and Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis may be suffering from mycotoxins from mold.

The CDC reports that Mucor mycosis and aspergillosis are two of the most common Invasive Mold Infections (IMIs).

Patients who believe this may be the cause of their decline in health have their homes / workplaces tested for mold.

Congresswoman, Nancy Pelosi Will Not Seek Reelection

WASHINGTON DC—On Thursday, November 6, Speaker Emerita, Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) announced in a six-minute video that she would not be seeking reelection to Congress. Her term will end on January 3, 2027, just a few months shy of her 87th birthday.

“For decades I have cherished the privilege of representing our magnificent city in the United States Congress. There has been no greater honor for me than to stand on the House floor and say, I speak for the people of San Francisco.

I have truly loved serving as your voice in Congress. That is why I want you, my fellow San Franciscans to be the first to know, I will not be seeking reelection to Congress. With a grateful heart, I look forward to serving my final year in service as your proud representative.

Nancy Patricia Pelosi, nee D’Alesandro was born into a large political family in 1940. She was the daughter of Thomas D’Alesandro, the former Mayor of Baltimore, Maryland (1947-1959). He too served as a member of Congress (D-MD) for multiple years including 76th (1939–1941), 77th (1941–1943), 78th (1943–1945), 79th (1945–1947), and 80th (1947–1949).

Paul and Nancy Pelosi resided in New York prior to settling in the San Francisco Bay area. The Pelosi’s reside in the Pacific Heights area. Nancy Pelosi is currently serving her 20th year in congress representing California’s 11th Congressional District which includes the majority of San Francisco. She has held this position since 1987.

Nancy Pelosi was elected as the first woman speaker of the House in 1987, serving in that role through 2011, and again from 2019-2023.

Pelosi was an advocate for the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare), abortion, and LGBTQ rights. She was one of the first politicians pictured kneeling for the flag next to her fellow democrat constituents.

California’s Democrat Governor Gavin Newsom has familial ties to the Pelosi’s through marriage. They are not blood relatives, but Nancy Pelosi’s sister-in-law was married to Gavin Newsom’s uncle.

In contrast, Rep. Maxine Waters, (D-CA) who is currently 87, has announced her intent to run for congress in California’s 43rd district once again on November 3, 2026. Ballotpedia is keeping track of which members of the U.S. Congress will/will not be seeking reelection.

Cowboy’s Defensive End, Marshawn Kneeland Dies At 24

FRISCO, TX—On November 6, the Dallas Cowboys announced on their NFL team webpage, that one of their newest rookie star players, Marshawn Kneeland has died at 24. According to a press release by the Frisco Police Department, they were called to assist in a pursuit that ended in a crash in the southbound lane of the Dallas Freeway near Warren.

The suspect, later identified as Marshawn Kneeland, of Plano, TX, fled the scene on foot. Police officers launched a search with assistance of drones and the K-9 team. Kneeland’s body was discovered on November 6, at approximately 1:39 a.m. He had died of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound. The Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the actual cause and manner of death.

The Dallas Cowboy team announced the tragic news.

“It is with extreme sadness that the Dallas Cowboys share that Marshawn Kneeland tragically passed away this morning. Marshawn was a beloved teammate and member of our organization. Our thoughts and prayers regarding Marshawn are with his girlfriend, Catalina and his family.”

The NFL also sent out their condolences and offered counseling services for those in need of it.

Reports indicate that Kneeland was in the middle of his second season with the team recently scoring his first career touchdown in Monday night’s game (a loss) against the Cardinals. Kneeland notably recovered a blocked punt in the end zone.

Kneeland, who hails from Western Michigan was a second-round pick for the Cowboys (56th overall). He played in seven out of nine games this year. The 2024 rookie has made one sack, 15 tackles, and six QB pressures this season alone. He missed six games due to injuries.

Prior to being recruited by the Cowboys, he registered 149 total tackles and 12.5 sacks over three seasons with 2023 marking his best year with 57 tackles, 4.5 sacks and two forced fumbles.

Former Vice President, Dick Cheney Dies At 84

CASPER, WY—On November 3, former Vice President Richard Bruce, “Dick” Cheney passed away surrounded by family at his home. The family indicated that he died of complications of pneumonia and cardiovascular disease. He was 84 years old.

Dick Cheney (R-WY) entered federal service in 1969, first serving as the Director in the office of Economic Opportunity during the final year of the Nixon Administration. He served as a staff assistant from 1971-1973.

Cheney was appointed Assistant Director of the Cost-of-Living Council and then became the Deputy Assistant to then President Gerald Ford (1974-1975) and White House Chief of Staff (1975-1977).

In 1978, Cheney won the U.S. Congressional race and served as the Wyoming State Representative. He served five additional terms in the state of Wyoming. He served on the House Intelligence Committee and the Intelligence Budget Committee.

In December 1988, House Republicans chose him to serve as the House Minority whip for the 101st Congress. The U.S. Senate confirmed Cheney as the U.S. Secretary of Defense. He took office on March 21, 1989, and served in that position through January 1993.

On July 3, 1991, Dick Cheney was awarded the Presidential Medal of Freedom by George W. Bush. It was Cheney who directed two of the largest military campaigns in U.S. at that time. This was during Operation Just Cause in Panama and Operation Desert Storm in the Middle East. It was for his leadership during the Cold War that Cheney received this most prestigious award.

Cheney served as the 46th Vice President of the United States for two terms under President George W. Bush.

Bush leaves behind his wife, Lynn, his two adult daughters Mary, and Elizabeth “Liz” Cheney, and his grandchildren.

Actress, Writer, And Producer, Diane Ladd Dies

OJAI—On November 3, writer, actress, director, and producer, Diane Ladd passed away, at the age of 89 at her home in Ojai, California. Ladd was remembered most for the films she and her daughter, Laura Dern co-starred in over the years: “Rambling Rose,” “Citizen Ruth,” “Wild at Heart,” “White Lightning,” and “Alice Doesn’t Live Here Anymore.”

Ladd was born Rose Diane Ladner on November 29, 1935, to actor, Preston Paul Ladner and her stay at home mother, Mary Bernadette Ladner. She was raised Catholic in Meridian, Mississippi.

Reports indicate that Ladd was related to playwright and screenwriter, Tennessee Williams, who was most famous for his writings of, “The Glass Menagerie,” “A Streetcar Named Desire” and “Cat on a Hot Tin Roof.”

Ladd married her first husband, actor, Bruce Dern in 1960. They later divorced in 1969. The couple had two daughters. Diane Elizabeth died in a drowning accident at 18 months. Laura Elizabeth who became an actress. Ladd married to her second husband, William A Shae in 1969. They later divorced in 1977.

In 1999, she married the former CEO of PepsiCo Food Systems, Robert Charles Hunter. They remained married until his death on July 31, 2025, just several months before her death.

Increased Police Presence In Santa Monica Shopping Areas

SANTA MONICA—On October 28, the Santa Monica City Council approved the realignment plan presented on October 24. A copy of the proposal can be found on the city’s website. Councilmembers voted to give Santa Monica a facelift by cleaning it up and adding some security, so shoppers and other visitors are comfortable, and safe in a city at one time was noted for its beauty.

The proposed plan is to clean up debris left behind by homeless encampments, drug addicts, graffiti artists, and to add more officers to patrol the city streets and shopping districts.

Canyon News reached out to Santa Monica City Manager, Oliver Chi, for a statement, but did not hear back before print. Chi oversees a total city budget of $789.9 million with a workforce of over 2,000 employees. Reports indicate that the first phases of the Realignment Plan proposal began soon after Chi took over as City Manager in the latter part of 2024.

A total of $60 million was reserved to revitalize the area, which could potentially bring more revenue into the city.

The most recent published calls by the Santa Monica Police Department (SMPD) referred to the following Department Wide Statistics for October 12-18.

A “5150” hold refers to a legal provision in California that allows for the involuntary hospitalization of individuals experiencing a mental health crisis.

“I was born in Santa Monica. It used to be a pristine beach town. An actual tourist attraction. Now it is infested with crime, Antifa, the homeless, and needles. Democrat policy, Democrat results,” posted @LoriMills on her X page about a mental health facility for homeless coming to Ocean Avenue.

Ocean Avenue is home to multimillion dollar homes, and five-star hotels with an ocean view.

“When ATMs in Santa Monica and mailing a letter are no longer safe at dusk…Santa Monica is the most permissive and inviting beachside city in Southern California for transient addicts to sleep and do drugs on sidewalks and in parks. Whose safety does Santa Monica’s leadership prioritize,” John_Alle posted on social media on November 3.

The SMPD Downtown Services Unit is reportedly expected to double the presence of sworn police officers to 8-10 per day to patrol either by bicycle or on foot throughout the Promenade, Transit Mall, and the downtown Corridor.

Canyon News contacted the SMPD for specifics on police detail, but did not hear back before print.

SANTA MONICA—On October 27, the Communication Specialist for the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD), Diana Bouchaaya, announced the acceptance of 10 SMMUSD students into the 2025 Southern California Vocal Association (SCVA) Regional Honor Choir.

The SMMUSD congratulates the following students receiving this prestigious honor; Ansel Brodkin, Alex Chaiet, Anna Cervantes, Karin Cervantes, Ava Collins-Cona, Curtis DiMundo, Zoey Jaffa, Mina Lotan, Harper McCallum, and Milo Smith.

According to the SMMUSD press release, this select-group of students will represent the Santa Monica High School (SAMOHI) at the University of Redlands, November 6-8 with 270 other extraordinary student vocalists from across Southern California for three days of rigorous rehearsals that will culminate in a public concert.
